We had gone through the process of buying / selling homes several times before but this experience was by far the most unique, yet satisfying to date. We bought our home with the intention of never leaving it like most people do and had invested in countless home improvements when an unexpected change in employment took us to Southern California. We decided to rent the home, with thoughts that we may one day return. Fast forward four years. We had yet another major change that took us all the way to Toronto for a year and our move home to SoCal was perfectly timed with our tenants vacating the home in Elk Grove. Having a rental, especially during the climate with Covid, put some question into whether we wanted to continue to rent it or test the market. We reached out to LuAnn for some advice & WOW are we glad we did! We spoke to her about the home & all of the upgrades that we felt would separate it from just about any nearby comps. LuAnn helped educate us on coming up with a listing price and we ended up listing well above what similar homes in the neighborhood had been selling at and even above what we told her we thought we could get for it. The long distance aspect made a lot more work for LuAnn, yet she was there every step of the way to help with all that we couldn't do in person, such as coordinating with all the vendors to ready the home for sale. In the end, we listed on a Friday and by Monday we had 9 offers. We sold the home for $47k more than we had listed it for & couldn't have been happier with the entire process. LuAnn is extremely knowledgeable of the Elk Grove market and that combined with her infectious personality and the hilarious down to earth conversations we had throughout the process made what can be a very stressful experience seamless and even fun.
