Lucky Chinese Food, Santee CA

This restaurant gets really busy so plan ahead. Eat in or take out doesn't matter. Worth the wait.

I hate to leave this review as Lucky used to be our favorite in the area. Something has changed! The food was very greasy and all items we had were very lacking in flavor and quality of ingredients seems to have plummeted.

Hope the old food returns!

They give you a lot of food, but no flavor. Sad to say, but Panda Express is better which also sucks.

Food is excellent and well priced! Great customer service! It may get a little crowded around dinner time, but it’s worth the wait! Tasty and fresh!

Venerable Chinese restaurant in Santee. When you have a craving for great food and fast service this is the place to see. We ordered Salt and Pepper wings. They're delicious and tasty.

My go-to Chinese food.
Chicken is delicious and so is the pork.
Singapore rice noodles are amazing

Fast food steam table. Absolute lowest common denominator chinese food. Generous portions at a low price is the postive.

Sauces were sent home with us in unmarked containers. Meat was all very dry. Noodles were flavorless. $80 down the tube. Do net reckoned for take out, but I understand it's good when you eat there.

Lucky Chinese is great. I ordered the 2 piece with rice noodle from the food bar and couldn't believe how much food I received and it's very tasty If you're really hungry go there to fill your tummy.

Food is good but not great. With only exceptions being the wonton soup and the salt and pepper wings. Outstanding flavor and portions.

Dined there with friends. I had Walnut shrimp over fried rice that was so tasty and tender. My husband enjoyed the spicy Kung pao shrimp. Such large portions that we ended up taking half if it home.

This used to be my favorite place. Sadly, the service has gone downhill. I hope the owner does something to bring it back.

Decent prices, huge portions and good Chinese. It’s rare to find these days. Service could be a little quicker and friendlier. Waited over 20 mins for sweet and sour pork.

We’ve been coming here since we’ve moved to Santee in 2018 and I always order (from the buffet line) eggplant with chicken but WITHOUT the chicken & replace it with green beans. No one has ever questioned me nor has anyone told me “we can’t do that” until tonight. I even told her it’s what I always order with other items & without fail they’ve always accommodated me. Lady was so rude & loud that everyone heard so I walked out, embarrassed. Unacceptable & never I will come here again.
