Lure Fish House, Ventura CA

My favorite seafood restaurant in Ventura! Stopped in after a work acquaintance recommended Lure in Ventura and was not displeased. We had a party of 5 adults. The Shrimp Cocktail was perfect - large prawns and good cocktail sauce. The Fish Ceviche was good, and the Chowder was good as well. Topped it all off with pumpkin cheesecake and coffee. Enjoyed the entire meal. Definitely recommend!

Wonderful expierence. Ate outdoors which was in a gorgeously decorated white tent. Our server was amazing, very tentative, quick, and had an awesome attitude. By far the best pasta I have had. Very well seasoned, large shrimp perfectly cooked. Drink was very strong. *chef's kiss*

So glad we dined here, we dined on grill Swordfish, fish and chips, Ahi tuna ceviche. The Martinis were so good I had to have two. The server did such a great job, I can't believe he gave us such great service seeing how he was so young. We dined outside on a wonderful afternoon. Outstanding

Special occasion place for us, came with a big group and we were in a back room. It was pretty hot in there so it was kind of uncomfortable in that way. One more fan would have been nice. $680 bill for the table. Service was good, food was good as always, drinks good. But it's so pricey for the portions, which is why we only go for special occasions. We filled up on bread mostly haha i made calamari sliders with the bread, yummm. Pasta is the way to go for a large filling portion! Anyway, good overall Lure is a great restaurant!

Wonderful dinner. Place was very busy for a Tuesday night during a pandemic. Food was great, service great, atmosphere great. Recommend.

Unbelievable good quality. Sand dabs were 10/10 and little necks clams were bomb. So good that I ate here again the following night. Be prepared to wait a while for a table, they get busy.

Fantastic food, and great table side service. Minus one star for a consistently chaotic food takeaway experience. I consistently end up waiting for my food at the podium after I order by phone ahead of time. 2/5 times there is food not in the bag that was ordered.

The food is worth the headache of the food takeaway though. Wish there was a rating system for food V service.

ONE OF THE FEW RESTAURANTS TO BENEFIT FROM COVID RESTRICTIONS. IF IT WASN'T FOR THE ADDITIONAL OUTSIDE SEATING YOU WOULD NEVER GET A TABLE WITHOUT RESERVATIONS. THEIR FOOD DESERVES THE CROWD

Super delicious food, the drinks are good, and the key lime pie is amazing. No fishy taste, just good cooking and consistent. Also great place for people watching as it's always crowded. Highly recommend!

I had the fresh sea bass. It was over cooked which made it dry. That's the first time I've been disappointed at the lure, and I've eaten many meals there. I'll be back.

I get picky when I go out to spend good money on a meal. We were told it would be a thirty minute wait and it was only 10. The staff was so personable and polite. They checked on us at all the right times and made sure everything was perfect and we had everything we needed. I can’t write enough about the food. We had oysters, calamari, potato cakes, rockfish, cod, and raviolis. Everything was cooked to the proper amount. I hate when my food is cold and nothing was at this place, everything was piping hot! The wine and drinks were amazing. I seldom leave five star reviews but I would gladly take my wife here for an anniversary or a one else for any important event. Thank you for such wonderful service and food.

Our waiter was amazing. Some of the best customer service I've experienced in a very long time. The food was fabulous and the atmosphere was wonderful. I highly recommend and I can't wait to go back

What a terrible service experience and even worse seating arrangement. Will never go to this place again.

Terrible ambiance, terrible place to go to eat unless you like waiting an hour to sit at a table that stares at the kitchen. I honestly only thought that happened in movies, but no. Management here thinks it’s ok as long as they get $$

We had fresh fish and a burger. Both were very good. I liked the sides as well, although beware of the hot peppers on the Brussel sprouts.

Civeche! Dawg I went 2 nights in a row when my parents came to visit. Let's just say when your slavic parents approve of the food then you know you're doing something right.

One of my favorite Lure locations because of its coziness and ambiance. Same high quality seafood. I'm hoping soon they will bring back all their pre-Covid dellicios salads, please!
