Lure Fish House, Porter Ranch CA

Not much I can suggest as an improvement! Perhaps even "good as it gets category"!

Great aesthetic and food. I ordered a spicy cucumber margarita which was not on the menu and they served it with no hassle.delish! Oh, and the table bread was so good as well!

Very nice dining experience. My wife and I were greeted right away and seated. I had the fish and chips. They were good. I only wish they had steak cut fries, but they were still very good. My wife had the tequila lime shrimp pasta, and it was amazing. Everything was fresh and made to order. I had an old fashion to drink and it was made perfect. I highly recommend this place and look forward to my next visit.

Happy hour is great! It took a while to get a table cleared and place an order, but everything went smoothly afterwards.

It was extremely noisy and uncomfortable. You can't have a conversation with your friends at the table since you have to scream just to communicate. The food is great but the service sometimes is not. They take your order and start bringing the plates in the wrong order (this is the second time this happens). The waitress disappears, and it's hard to find if you need or want something else. This place has untapped potential, but there's a lot of room for improvement.

Lure is one of our favorite restaurants. We’ve frequented all their locations in SoCal over the years. Excellent sourdough and fresh seafood. We appreciate the dedication for fresh/delicious food and good customer service. The reason for 4 stars atmosphere is sometimes it’s difficult to have a conversation due to music and background noise. Also we often get a draft if sitting close to outside patio, which is not so great in cold winter days. Other than that, the food is great and we will continue to support Lure.

All I can say is mediocre food, mediocre booze, mediocre service for the money spent every time we have dined at these resturants in Porter Ranch and Thousand Oaks.

I like the chain very much, and the Porter Ranch location is one of the best ones. I've also been to Westlake and Ventura locations. They run an extremely professional operation. Right now, we are hooked on the sand dabs. The hot bread is also excellent! The only downside is that on a busy night, you might have to wait a bit. In our case, it was 40 minutes for 2. Parking, despite the large lot, can be vulture city, with cars cruising for open spaces. This will be our go-to fish house.

The Lure Fish House at The Vineyards at Porter Ranch is one of the top restaurants that was opened in 4/2021.

The fish is still rated at 5 stars and the Steamed Little Neck Clams (1 LB) is at 4 stars due to the clams are too tough to eat, but the broth and presentation are excellent.

Unfortunately, the bread quality went down significantly from 5 stars to 2 or 3 stars when the restaurant was open in 2021.

The cocktails' presentation looks very good. As a matter of fact, it looks better than the one I saw at a 5 stars hotel in Beverly Hills last month.

Mediocre. I had the lobster roll, which was pretty tasteless and also the lobster texture was not good. I can understand bad lobster texture because the west coast is not exactly a huge lobster producer, but the lobster was also pretty tasteless, with only a generic chipotle aioli as seasoning. The celery chunks were too big as well. Bun and sweet potato fries were alright.
White Sea bass was okay.
Appetizers were pretty good. The miso skewers had a nice texture and the calamari was solid. The ambiance of the place was also good; you can definitely tell it is upscale based on the decor. The service is mediocre; our server was very nice but took a very long time to take our order or refill water. Overall pretty mediocre place and not worth the price.

Great food at a reasonable price. I had the sand dabs with a wonderful pinaple coleslaw. My wife had the fish special. Everything was terrific. The only thing I did not like was the bread. It was fresh and hot but it is sourdough which I do not care for.

Staff Xmas dinner party. Everyone enjoyed it. Crab cakes, grilled oysters and clam chowder for the starters. The oysters are worth the drive! Salmon was solid. The cilantro lime rice was a disappointment accord to everyone that ordered it.
I ordered the cioppino. Lots of seafood, but was too spicy to enjoy the seafood.

I liked the place, food was partially good. Cilantro lime rice as a side dish was a fail. No taste, no smell at all. Salmon was tasty.

Windy in the room, wait longer than announced, noisy, quality of food just okay for the price.
Bad 1st experience.
Don't recommend for people who are picky about atmosphere, quality of food and service for pricey meals.

This place went down hill quick. Must have new management. Food quality and service is no where as good as it was the first year open. We prefer to drive an extra 30 mins to the Oxnard, Lure now.

I came over on tuesday, had a great time there! My waitress Alyssa was the best! She was quick, nice, and overall had a good attitude. The food is great! Was recommended the oysters and it was fantastic! 10/10 would come back here again!

My friend and I had never been here before but we both loved it. He had the steak and I had the lobster tail and both were fantastic. The fish and chips I took home for my brother was also greatly enjoyed. Our server Kevin was friendly, attentive, and overall just above and beyond for a server. I highly recommend trying the food and if possible request Kevin as your server

Lunch time include large portioned appetizers and 1/2 salad. Perfect. I took my husband for his first time and loved it. Simply the best.

The food was good. I had the Cioppino and our group has oyster and both were good. However the service was mediocre to terrible. Waiter with Santa Claus hat was not jovial or kind. We constantly have to ask for refill on our drinks (lemonade, amazing, Arnold Palmer, and ice tea). Additionally when he came to pick up the tray that the oysters were sitting on some of the water spill onto the table and our Santa Claus waiter didn’t even bother wiping it off. Overall our group enjoy the food but not the services
