Lynda Sandwich, Westminster CA

We came to California for vacation, we stopped by this morning to buy some sandwiches. We ordered grilled beef sandwich, which we expected slice beef that grilled on oven, like we usually bought at bánh mì ba le in Boston. When we got home, we opened the sandwich and there was the meatloaf inside. My daughter bites one and she got peanut reaction right away, she threw up uncontrollably. My vacation turn into nightmare that my daughter has to sit at the toilet for period of times to throw up. We were referring by someone who visited Cali previous, we do not think the sandwiches are good, it’s so dry and tasteless.

The special bánh mì is just average, didn’t taste the pâté, pork rolls and ham because so thin only one slice. Ordered fish cake (chã cá) bánh mì. The fish cake like fish jerky, completely different to Vietnamese chã chiên. I think the owner should go around little Saigon to try bánh mì at different stores to improve food. My sincerity

Lynda’s has the best tasting vegetarian banh mi! I’ve tried a couple other places nearby and they lack a protein source, it’s mostly just veggies. However, Lynda’s actually uses plant based protein, possibly soy curls. They’re seasoned well.

You might not be able to tell it wasn’t real animal meat. The texture and flavor is that good!

What stands out at Lynda’s is her Mayo based sauce, I haven’t tasted the same flavor at other banh mi places. It’s so good the employees won’t even give you any extra on the side if you offer to pay lol, it’s highly guarded apparently.

I also like that they put cucumbers in the banh mi because a certain popular banh mi chain does not and it’s terrible. I’ve had the various meat banh mi in the past and I’d actually prefer the vegetarian one it’s that good

Food good, atmosphere nice, service bad. They get orders wrong and don't listen or write down orders. We went twice and both times the service got order wrong.

I like the Banh Mi here but not the staffs, only 2 male staffs we've seen yesterday are ok.

Still my favorite banh mi spot in OC, well specifically the steamed meatball sandwich (banh mi xiu mai). If I could change one thing, I’d like more filling but honestly for $7 I’m stuffed so no don’t truly need more. I get the banh mi xiu mai here at least once a month if not more, and I get it for family get togethers and parties too. I love it so much I want all my friends and family to try. Again, this review is only for the banh mi xiu mai and not any of the other sandwiches.

Reasonable Banh mi, served on a baguette.very flashy design in the interior.the only drawback was I think for the area $8.00 for a Banh mi is a little on the higher side! It was very goood though

The best place to try banh mi, everything so good but the price more expensive than others place, order by phone and pick up for save time.

My go to banh mi place when in OC. I usually get their shrimp paste and chay (vegetarian) sandwich. The bread is nice and soft with a slight crunch. The mayo garlic spread makes the sandwich even more delicious!

Sometimes, I give poorly rated places a shot because it's not always on them;this place totally deserves their rating. The place was dirty, and most of the tables were covered in grime and trash. The service was nonexistent. When I walked in, the guy working was sitting around watching TV. To me not a big deal, I'd do the same in their position if the work was done and there was a lull in customers.
My wife and I ordered the same beef banh mi and a frozen coffee, that's it. The sandwiches took a long time, considering there were zero people in the store. After about 15 minutes, the sandwiches came out.
The bread was really good. It was fresh, tasty, and the perfect texture. Everything else on it wasn't good. The meat wasn't actual meat it was like a processed beef product or something. The cilantro was mostly stems, and plenty of them. My wife didn't finish hers, and I wouldn't have had it not been the first meal of my day.
The frozen coffee drink arrived 10 minutes after we got our food and was bland and not worth the price or time. Overall, it's a pretty negative experience, and I won't be returning or recommending. With so many other great restaurants so close by, I'm surprised this place is in business.

The wall mural is very nice and owned by Vietnam's famous icons. The sandwiches are affordable but lack the flavor that I was hoping for in a banh mi. I wasn't a fan of the bread as it was too stale for my liking. The cafe feels too cramped

I came here with group of friends to try out the banh mi here, especially bánh mì đặc biệt Lynda special.we ordered to go because we on our way to airport flying home Austin, Texas.we all love the bánh mì. It’s very delicious.will come back again. Thanks

Servise is bad they make me waitt for my order even if i order online so no matter if you order online crew do t even ask o notice if you been help or if you need help

It costs a bit more than the others but you’ll get what you pay for. This is hands down one of the best banh mis that I’ve ever had!

Order only 2 Vietnamese sandwich and wait 30 minutes. End up the person order after me received their order first while I still need to wait, not to mention both orders are the same sandwich of quality and quantity.
Don't even bother to apologize to the customer for their TERRIBLE SERVICE.

The WORST sandwiches for the price. And the staff is RUDE, DIRTY, UNPROFESSIONAL, AND UNSANITARY. I had a quick glimpse into the kitchen when it was opened and saw cockroaches flying in there. And also one small mouse quickly ran across the floor! I will notify the health department about this germ infested place! If you value your health, stay away and save your money!

Stop by today. Banh mi bo kho is terrible. The price is expensive for what you get. The young guy who manages the place is rude and disrespectful. Go some place else.

They have really good sandwiches, the grilled beef being my favorite but they fail to get my order right. I don’t eat pork so I always order the beef sandwich but it seems like they get your order right when they want to. I went in today and ordered 3 grilled beef but was given 3 bbq pork sandwiches. The cashiers have so much as argued with me when I ask for the beef sandwich they’ve told me “it’s meatball” so I order the “meatball sandwich” and am still given the wrong thing.
