M O M's Laundromat, Arcata CA

BARELY FUNCTIONAL!
No XL (8?) washers working, only 3 (3?) washers, 1 (6?) washers, 2 (4?) washers. The rest are all 3? Or smaller. Maybe 5 dryers and none are big.
2 years ago they were definitely a 5 star place but now there are rarely attendants (nice when they're there) still pretty clean at least.

Four broken washers and TWENTY broken dryers. Only 6 out of their 26 dryers work. The rest are broken and have been for a long time.
The washers are expensive, which the free dryers are supposed to make up for. But with a vast majority of the dryers broken this place is becoming a complete and total rip off. TWENTY broken dryers. Expensive, broken, and gross. Go elsewhere if you can. I feel bad for everyone who pretty much has to use this place due to transport/location.

There’s one dryer that works out of 26! Whoever the owner is needs to get his s*** together. Terrible place. Go somewhere else

One of the better laundromats I’ve been to. Free dryer with wash is nice, and washers work great and have a variety of sizes. My only complaint is that their two largest washers have been out of service for a while now.

Update Oct, 2022, mist dryers catch clothes at front of dryer and tear holes in clothes. Also, both washers and dryers frequently are not working. Require maintenance.

2 years ago. May not be the best looking place, but I have found my new laundromat! You can check if there are machines available and load money on speed queen account all before you leave home. And all dryers are free with wash. All the machines are brand new and free wifi. I had been going to suds and duds in mckinnleyville for a year and they have raised there prices 2 times since I've been going. I only have to drive 3 extra miles and I can run all my laundry thru this app instead of quarters. LOVE IT!

What kind of place advertises that they are Open until 10pm, but at 8: 20pm locks the door to customers. That's MOM's

What good is free drying when the dryer destroys clothes.today on Thanksgiving.im only allowed one dryer.im white and don't speak Spanish.alll other ppl of Spanish decent are allowed all the dryers they want

Mom's laundromat is located in arcata.
It's a small quaint laundromat facility under new ownership.
And when you wash your clothes here there are dryers that are free.
You can also drop off your laundry for $1.50 a pound and have it washed for you.
There's plenty of parking in the parking lot there's harbor freight's Carl's Jr jitterbeen all located around the area.

Un-friendy managment, always dirty, most machine don't work right and your clothes come out wet, not very clean and you lose your money

Great clean friendly Just watch out if you're going to pay with the app. It is taken $5 from me twice as it likes to malfunction.

Really good. Place is clean. Dryers free with wash. Staff on-site was very friendly and helpful.

This place is awesome! I hate going to the laundromat, I’ve had such bad experiences in Humboldt County. You choose between a high dollar place, that’s packed and you feel like you have to guard your belongings. OR, you go to a cheaper place, no attendant, no maintenance, with most the machines broken. You don’t have to do either anymore. Mom’s is where it’s at! It’s affordable, I did 4 smaller loads, $4/each and free drying. The best part, you ask? They will switch your laundry for free as well & they are there, on site, so you don’t have to feel like you need to protect your laundry. I was able to go run other errands while my laundry was being done. The attendant there was so wonderful, she completely took care of me! She went above & beyond, and people & businesses should be recognized for that! Especially when it comes to laundromats, because they’re so shady in this County. Other owners take advantage of knowing that students & others need their business & do as little as possible. I’m not going anywhere else for my laundry needs! Love Mom’s!

It gets the job done. Owners are a bit nuts and happy to harass customers, not to mention the vagrancy element that permeates this plaza, but they've got good machines and decent prices.

I'm pleasantly suprised. I wasn't really expecting much. Not bad. Monica was very friendly & helpful. The place is small, but all the machines were working. The water was nice & hot too. It wasn't too crowded. And when I ran alittle late Monica just told me no problem, take your time. The dryers are totally free with wash what a bargain!
