Maast Indian reviews
18Don't let the fast food atmosphere fool you, this is a great spot. Lamb curry was EXCELLENT. Good sized portion and balanced flavors. Huge chunks of lean lamb (and a couple marbled pieces too). Very happy to have discovered Maast!
If you’re looking for a traditional, sit down Indian restaurant, this is likely not it. Imagine a more fast casual Indian spot meets Chipotle style Indian burritos/bowls vibe.but with overall delicious food!
The chaat or street bites were all great!
Pani puri was what you’d expect, and good
Dahi vada - great!
Pav Bhaji - worth trying if you like this!
Stand out was the daal makhani.tasted like the homemade version, came out piping hot.outstanding
Maybe not my favorite.and just ‘different’, was getting all the food in ‘to go’ bowls, plates etc.despite eating in. Felt odd to be served that way, especially with Indian food (even the chai came in a to go cup)
This place has been my favorite lunch spot since I moved to Irvine. I have been ordering 2-3 times a week via Uber/ Doordash and the food has been really tasty, well packed and of enough quantity. Cant wait until they start back the 3rd party delivery services and I can order again.
Great flavors and quick service. A super friendly, family-run operation. Willing to make any changes requested to order.
Loved this new place, walking distance from the train station. It is located in an office district. Good delicious Indian food with good portion sizes.
It looks really nice inside, very clean. It was a really relaxing experience to sit and observe the scenery. Especially the mural of flowers on the large chalkboard. Everything about this place is great. Really nice and amazing customer service. However, the best thing about it is the amazing food that I couldn’t get enough of. I ordered a burrito which is a fusion of american and indian. It us by far the best Indian food I have ever eaten and the way they made the tortilla was really delicious. It’s got an amazing smell and has good crispy edges with really yummy flavor that has you in a food coma. I highly recommend this restaurant, it is the best Indian food place I have ever gone. 5/5 stars! ️️
Some of the best Indian food I've had in a while. Staff and owners were very nice. Will be making it a regular stop! Just good food and people!
A family run business. The owners are very nice and hardworking people. Love the vibes at the restaurant. The food is a modern Indian fusion.
Friendly service. Burrito was quite large. Filled with rice, onion, tomato, butter chicken (I asked for chicken tikka masala and was told the butter chicken is the same sauce, I also opted for no lettuce), it was quite delicious. I ordered it spicy and it delivered. I went with the combo - fries for $1.50, no drink.
The fries were hot and fresh but didn’t have much, if any, seasoning. When I got to the bottom of the bag, I tasted the masala seasoning for the fries - which was excellent but didn’t stick to the fries or just wasn’t enough of it put on them.
Would definitely come back - ample parking and decent amount of seating. I came in around 5: 30pm and it wasn’t crowded.
Best masala chai in Irvine. (have it with the Gulab Jamun Cake) Also, the vada pav was better than curry up now. The potato melts in your mouth and there’s chunks of green chili. This is the only place that serves Masal Pav.
The vibe was chill with instrumental music playing in the background.
This place is amazing great spot for lunch, the food is consistent and the family that owns this place is very friendly & accommodating!
Delicious food, excellent customer service. I am from Bombay and am very particular about Street food. The vada pav was delicious, curry bowl with chicken and kadai curry was amazing. The grilled sandwich was yummy. Tea was great. Highly recommend.
Maast Indian is really delicious! I love their burritos and sandwiches! But everything they make there is flavorful. Their creations are creative and I've never seen anybody do it like Maast Indian. You are in for a treat!
The food and service here are excellent! The curry bowls were delicious. This family owned business provided such a welcoming atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend. Definitely will be coming.
Some of the best food I have had in a long time. I love how they fused street-food, and Indian cuisine together to make such delicious food. Thank you Ba and Dada for making this an amazing experience for me!
Fabulous experience. Outstanding service, menu options, competitive prices. Flavour profile outstanding. We dined twice during our short trip to LA and will be back
Food came out hot (chicken spinach curry) and flatbread was amazing. Drinks (cold chai and lassi) are pre poured into cups but sealed well so no issue. Not iced but plenty cold. The ac wasn’t the strongest, so if you get cold usually then it’s probably great for you. Keep in mind I did come in during a heat wave, so it’s warm everywhere.
Service was lovely and it’s a great place to sit, eat, and do work
I've been many times when they were at skylark circle, but this is my first time at their own storefront. Food is as great as ever, service was friendly and fast despite their large set of to go orders getting picked up as they opened. Their store is very bright and open with gorgeous plates on the wall. I usually get a burrito, but I'm looking forward to trying some of the other items on the menu next time.
