Mac Que's BBQ and Catering

My first visit was good but the food was ok.decided to give it a second shot and I'm glad I did! Ordered the bbq brisket sandwich and boy it was good. I will continue to go here and try a few other menu items. I'll update my review at a later time.

Must have caught them on an off day. Very average experience on my first try. Tried the chicken, brisket, pulled pork, macaroni salad, and beans & rice. Nothing to write home about.

Food excellent, they are people friendly and quite happy, and the owner is a real mentor, and very nice. Yes I am going back there again. Had a great time even waiting for my take out.

Only downfall was no cornbread offered. The rest was so legit that I'll key ther cornbread go. Especially since so many places don't offer it.

What a fabulous place. I ordered lots of food for my wife's birthday, some items (dinner rolles) were forgotten. Stacy, the manager drove them out to the party. This is my first time using a macaques. I am now a long time customer.

I'm so mad at them. I've had four half slabs no sauce in one month. Greens are so good. Mac n cheese so good. Tri tip so good. Don't like that they only have chicken breast. Gonna try the ham next time and the house made sausage. Dessert options are so tempting. Threeee types of beans. Service done with Dickeys and Kinder. Everyone I take there agrees.

Thought I would give this place a try since people were fecommending it. Only good thing is the meats. Sorry but the rolls, macaroni salad and corn I had all tasted store bought. Disappointed

Brisket sandwich yummy red beans n rice very good every time we order.i highly recommend the butterscotch bourbon cake layers of moist cake with butterscotch icing in between every layer

Honestly, the food was just bland. Mac and cheese had no flavor at all, coleslaw was meh, beans were boring. Pulled pork was fine, nothing to write home about. Tri tip was ok but again, nothing special. Wouldn't go again most likely when Sacramento has much better bbq options.

MacQue's is nice and clean the staff was very nice and good size portions of food but the barbque was horrible meat had a nasty after taste. Very disappointed won't be going back.

The rolls for their sandwiches can stand up to the generous, sticky amazing barbecue sauce and are still wonderfully soft! The barbecue sauce is also a great dip for their kettle chips.

The sauce is not flavorful. The greens are vinegar tasting. The bbq is ok. I wouldn't recommend this place. The service is good and the servers nice and the place is clean

Ribs were good, but I didn't care for the sauce. Great customer service! Greens tender (with stems), baked chicken was dry, kettle chips did not taste good either.

Went there with my husband my husband had the barbecue chicken greens and macaroni I had the ribs and Try to greens and green beans appsolutely wonderful I will definitely be going back and very very reasonable I aid off my dinner for 2 days and so did my husband love this place and I know barbecue

Great choices everything you need from a BBQ joint clean staff pleasant & professional portions and prices affordable I enjoyed the experience.

The ribs were overcooked & dry, not only that the brisket looked more & tasted like pork unused bits & chunks of pork fat was a substitute for brisket. Even more pork fat was underneath the ribs. Ordered for pick up 45 minutes ahead got there waited another 30 min.

UH-MAZE-ING! Listen, I've been to dozens of BBQ joints in the united States and this one can hang with the best of them. Top notch. Great flavor. Great portions. Wonderful staff. Unbelievable value for the money. Can't wait to come back! The energy slaw was like nothing else! Loved it!

MacQues Elk Grove location has the best of my two favorite things barbeque and customer service! A the ribs are always tender and flavorable. The customer service is always friendly and makes you feel valued. I recommend this place for barbecue over all others in Sacramento county!

The food was really good. I recommend the Mac and Cheese. If you like it hot the 52/50 sauce is sweet and very spicy.
They had some trouble with the order of their orders, so our food took about twice as long as expected. Hopefully that was a one time thing.
