Mac's Plumbing, Heating & Air, Elk Grove CA

They recently installed a new Daikin Fit Heat Pump and Air Handler in my home to replace AC and a gas furnace. Everyone who came to my house was on time as scheduled and behaved with courtesy and professionalism. They gave me a good price and did quality work. They coordinated all the rebates from SMUD and CA Tech Update. I only had one small form to fill out for SMUD. All the work passed building inspection without difficulty. The office staff was exceptional in their knowledge and effort. They coordinated everything including the building inspector. I will consider Mac's Plumbing, Heating & Air first for all my future plumbing, heating and air service needs.

I can not say enough about Steve and the crew. The professionalism is beyond anything I've seen in a company of their nature. I have had them do multiple services on my house within the last few years and every time they come it's been nothing less than amazing. My house was built in the 50's so they had their work cut out for them.

They make sure when entering and leaving the house they are wearing job specific gear as to not track dirt or junk around. They explain every step of the process from start to finish. Nate has been my service tech for multiple things and he always is kind, courteous, and goes above and beyond to make sure i know what i'm doing.

Even when i have questions or concerns they address them immediately, over the phone and even in person. They even brought two intense coolers to make sure the house stayed comfortable during the Heater/AC replacement.

Any other plumbing or HVAC issues that might come up Steve will be my first call. Well technically Shannon as she runs the office, and just like the rest of the crew she is amazing!

This would have been a five star review if it were made after purchasing. My install ran Thursday-Friday. On Friday they left at 4 saying they couldn’t get it to work but had to leave. 100 degree weekend with elderly and kids in the home.
I call in, Toni was immensely helpful, and they brought out and installed three portable air conditioners for us to use until the system was up. Despite the snafu, this would have been a 5 star review for that as well.
Since then I have called in several times expressing concern about the system. I was repeatedly told the issue was that it was over 100 degrees outside, so it’s reasonable that it won’t cool to it’s setting. It’s reasonable that it will be 77 degrees inside.
Now the system responds with safety errors. They tell me to flip the breaker. They FINALLY agree to send someone out to check it, but did not ask if a time was okay, just dispatched when I was at work and would need to be getting my kids. Not an option. Great she says, we’ll let us know if it’s still an issue.
A day later the error message is on again.
Finally someone comes out. Cleans the 4 month old machine. Tells me we need to just keep it clean. Then proceeds to do his job and realizes the system is in fact broken and he’ll need to speak with daikon, someone will call me. This was at 12 pm.
At 5 I call the office. Aubrey reviews his notes, confirms it’s broke. But everyone is gone. The tech and everyone, including daikon, are out for the weekend. There’s no explanation of why daikon was not contacted today when they were actually open. There is no portable ac. But there was the audacity to say “we’re getting close to figuring it out” as if they have been trying to at all. All heat wave summer long I was told it’s fine and treated like a nuisance. Now it’s “out of everyone’s hands”

Hope they all have a lovely weekend. I look forward to hearing what they can’t and won’t do next week.

I called on a holiday expecting no reply till the next day. I received a call later that day and a appointment was made for the next day. The technician was prompt and explained the problem. The problem was fixed and he explained everything. I was not pressured into unnecessary repairs. Great job. Will recommend and use in future repairs

The technicians AJ and André provided us with an excellent installation service for the AC system. They were careful with the property, they did an effective, efficient and impeccable job. They were very patient answering all our questions and they explained to us in great detail and clearly how the new system works.
Thanks also to Steve, the owner, who gave us priority attention due to the refrigerant leak in the system.

We recently hired Mac’s Plumbing to fix several broken water pipes in our mountains house. Their office staff is friendly and knowledgeable and provides excellent customer service throughout the process. The plumbers were timely, professional and very knowledgeable. Throughout the project they kept us informed and didn’t quit until we were leak free. I can’t say enough how how happy we are that we found a Plumbing company that we can trust for all our plumbing needs.

Exceptional service and knowledge from Ed and Nate who installed a heat pump water at our house. The installation was not simple in moving the existing unit out from inside and connecting the new unit to the garage, but their workmanship was top notch. They handled everything with care and we are very happy we went with them after talking with 3 other companies. For anything in the HVAC realm just go with Mac's and you will not be disappointed.

I needed someone to work on a custom duct job for our dryer vent. Steve came out and assessed the situation and had it fixed within a half hour. It's better now that it's ever been. Thanks Steve.
