Department Store Macy's reviews
12Great prices on final sales, helpful cashiers. Decorated so festively, nice music. Love their perfume counter.
It's my to go favorite store all the times with the whole family for a long, long times.
Went to return and the first sales associate (at the shoe department) offered to help, even though it was immediately obvious, I was returning luggage. She, and the two others who helped at the shoe and the jewelry section, were everything you could want in a sales person - courteous, attentive, and efficient.
I went in search for leather boots. I was surprised to see they only got very few selection for leather boots. Most of them were man made materials. Also they were pretty pricey, they didn't have much sales going on.
Amazing! I found everything in an hour and a half (I'm a widower; you know how it is with us guys and shopping).
I had an event that day and I was right there. It was so nice to go into the store to shop. I miss the Mission Valley location
So I called ahead today so that I wouldn't waste any time. The person who answered the call, Allison (with an Australian accent), was very attentive. She was cordial, checked on my requested sizes and even assured me that she would set them aside for me, even though I didn't ask her to. Upon arrival I had to wait an extra 10 min.to speak with Allison, because the store clerk behind the register never told her I was waiting. She helped another customer who actually arrived after I did. After grabbing all of the clothes in waiting off the rack, Allison directed me to the men's dressing room stall #1. She said that she would look for pants that were in my size. After about 15 min.of changing outfits, I walked back outside of the dressing room to see if Allison had found the aforementioned pants. Now she was assisting someone else at the register. I noticed that there were two additional attendants, on male and one female. Three people, one customer and I'm waiting to ask a couple of questions before buying a suit coat, slacks, white shirt, bow tie and shoes. As soon as Allison is done with the customer, I see her walk in the oposite direction from me, never to be seen again. Thirty minutes pass, during which time I looked for the items myself. But now I have even more questions. I couldn't understand how she could be so nice on the phone, but now that I'm inside of the store, I'm being ghosted. Even with the 25٪ off sale, my purchase today would have been at least $4-$500.00. But apparently Allison either forgot that she was helping me, or she had a medical emergency to attend do; in which case she could have alerted one of the other two people on duty to assist me. I am EXTREMELY disappointed at the lack of follow-through in this Macy's Otay Ranch locatiom store representative. To date, my worst experience in a Macy's store, and my wife & I shop there quite often. I give this store location a grade of C-.
Reduced choice in womens shoe brands. For example, they do not carry DKNY or Karen Scott. I was told they are a smaller Macy's.
Rick and Thomas were such a huge help in the shoes department! Great addition to the team!
My favorite Macy's by far. The entire first floor is devoted to women. Accessories, casual wear, coats, dresses, handbags (great selection of Michael Kors), make up, perfume, workout clothes (lots of Adidas) and even a ladies room on the ground level. That's right, no having to locate the elevator or hope the escalator works! Now, I've never made it to the upper level. I don't need to go there!
This Macy's continues to stay alive as an anchor for this mall. Everyone should shop here and try to keep it alive at Otay Ranch Mall. Once Macy's leaves this whole mall will become a ghost town.
Not crowded, the young lady and gentlemen in the mens department were very helpful and polite. Thanks for your help, sorry i didnt get your name.
