Diner Mae's Cafe reviews
18This has been my go-to diners for years. It's not the lastest and greatest in town, but for what it is: price, atmosphere, service, I'm giving this place a 5-star. It's a typical diners, nothing special, but very well priced and awesome service.
Good food to eat and reasonable prices
Waitresses are nice too
But should allow a third party delivery service for disabled ppl who can't make it to Restuarent.
Sat at the counter for a quick drop-in and enjoyed a classic diner experience, friendly staff and quick to refill your coffee.
Second time there in about a week! Mae's never fails. Food is just as we remember it from back in the day Great memories of family breakfast's there when we still had the majority of the family.
I love the food at Mae's on of my favorite places to eat there fried is better than KFC
One of my go to spots even I'm in the area. Always went here with my family white growing up. Great down to earth diner.
Food wasn't great (reminded me of the food they serve at a nursing home) but the service was great!
Very bad experience with raw pancakes. We asked for a Sprite and they brought it very late, and when we paid they charged us $15 more. I checked the account ticket twice and they changed the prices. I will definitely not return.
Old style diner, great prices for good/great prices. Friendly staff. Would definitely revisit. Just be careful of hours. Wasn't 24 hours when we visited late evening to find them closed. Went back the next day. Glad we did.
Came here for breakfast I order a t-bone steak came on a skillet but the pound of butter on top cooking still on your table Grease is all over the table, the hash browns were like drenched in butter, the toast that was like a brick the steak has so much butter that it jumped on my hand sizzling while it's cooking on your table
Even when they're crazy busy, they still provide good food and good service. Not my favorite biscuits and gravy, but there are many other options.
The food is delicious and our server was friendly. I ordered a vegetable omelet with biscuits and gravy.
Good old fashioned diner food, can't go wrong with any of the menu options. I had the special of the day and tried their meatloaf sandwich. Very filling, gravy and fries were great. Kind of rushed when it came to service but they did check up on me multiple times. I gotta come back here and try out the breakfast
It was about 3 PM. Just a few customers ordered a turkey sandwich. They used real turkey, but the sandwich was dry.
I dunno I hate giving people less than four stars but let’s talk about the good things. The service was great I like the cool ambience. It’s an older place and just kind of has a cool vibe.
I just had breakfast here and while it wasn’t horrible, it was not great. My bacon was soggy my eggs were so so my hashbrowns were so so, my French toast while it was OK it was served with the most awful syrup that pretty much around the whole thing for me anyway, maybe there’s better stuff on the menu that I just didn’t have.
I wish I could have liked this dinner but, utensils were dirty, soda was flavor less and bit carbonated enough, then when they brought my husband his coffee cup they was lipstick strain on it. (and it was not his color.lol) we called the waitress over again to show her another probity.she just started, " in sure you are disappointed and I understand if you leave" and if course we left. NEVER EVER GO THERE.
1950s diner, low grease, reasonably priced. Calif law prevents transfats, so other restaurant fast foods taste worse, so I don't like greasy foods. Mae's tastes good. Thursday's corned beef and cabbage illustrates their mastery that other restaurants can't. All Irish pubs drain salt, but trick is retaining meat flavor. Mae's starts with fine ingredients (trim, no grissle), trims more fat, cooks veggies separately to avoid grease, doesn't over or under cook. Result.best corned beef (I tried to find better). Home made split pea or lentil vs home made salad dressings.hard to choose. Harry's restaurant also good.bbq ribs, beef kabob.
