Best NoGi bjj instruction in San Francisco. The owner Travis has created a great community, helping students improve their skill, while providing support. As a beginner- and newbie to the city, I’ve been grateful for my experiences at Magalit BJJ.

Stopped in for a class while I was in town for work. Travis was very welcoming and accommodating. He taught a fun class with great attentiveness while providing awesome details on the techniques we were drilling. His students were friendly, technical, and fun to roll with. Will always be a stop whenever I am in town and I encourage others to check this place out whether they are locals looking to get into jiu jitsu or practitioners just visiting town.

I had an unfriendly experience here. I'm an experienced fighter traveling to different gyms. I reached out to the owner and signed a liability waiver online. I arrived and at first was told I could stay but the owner changed his mind midway and forced me to immediately leave the facility due to him simply not wanting to watch a new arrival.was disappointing.

This place is great. Travis was super nice and accomodated me dropping in on his class. He taught a great passing to sub series and offered some really unique details. It was great to to meet his team and catch some live rolls.

Highly reccomend and will definelty stop in next time I'm in town.

Dropped in here on a layover and it was nothing but a pleasure. Travis reached out personally after I inquired online and had no issues with me dropping in. The group of guys were nothing but accommodating and overall great vibe to the gym. I highly recommend checking them out if you live in the SF area.

I had a great experience training at Magalit Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with head instructor Travis Magalit while traveling in SF. The facilities are excellent, and Travis is an experienced and patient teacher who cares about his students' progress. What stood out to me was the welcoming community he's created, and I was grateful that Travis allowed me to join in, even as a drop-in student. His students are all wonderfully experienced and respectful practitioners and made me feel at home in their gym. I'm looking forward to training with them the next time I'm in the City.
