Magno Physical Therapy

At first, I was a little nervous about setting up a tele-health appointment for PT - how could a Dr properly diagnose AND treat me virtually? But Dr Patrick Magno quickly proved it was possible and effective. He correctly diagnosed exactly what was going on with my foot, and by the end of the appointment my pain was easily down by 50%. By my followup, I had barely any symptoms at all. During my second followup, I was good to go, so we did a movement analysis and within seconds he noticed I was overextending through my toes when jumping rope, and we discussed how to prevent this from happening again. My eyes were opened that Physical Therapists can not only help someone get out of pain, but greatly improve their performance by 1) preventing injuries in the first place, 2) maximizing training and movement efficiency.

Here is what I like of Magno Physical Therapy: Personal & dedicated attention during the whole therapy session. Recommended exercises don't require fancy equipment, you can do them in your home or even at the airport while you wait for your flight. Patrick is kind. You can see he enjoys his work, and that is very important as his attitude is great.

I have been working with Dr. Patrick for a long time. I have recently become more active than ever before and I love that he meets me where I’m at and makes physical therapy so fun and easy to understand and apply to my everyday life. I have gained so much knowledge from his one on one sessions as well as his informative videos. I love that I am able to learn from various material that he provides whether that’s in person or online whatever is most convenient! He is THE expert, personable and kind; that is why I recommend that all my friends and family get in touch with him to see how he can improve their mobility and overall wellness. Thanks to him I am looking forward to achieving better performance in the gym, more depth in my squats and more mobility than ever before:)

My mom fell and was diagnosed with a compressed disc on L4. She was in so much pain that every tiny movement made her wince and holler. She was basically bed-bound. Luckily we found Dr. Patrick through a neighborhood flyer we had saved some time ago. He responded right away to my cries for help and squeezed my mom in for a home visit the next day despite a full schedule.

Dr. Patrick spent our first session (over a hour) diagnosing and treating mom for muscle spasms, explaining his various findings along the way. He has a gift for healing and comforting, encouraging mom and offering a light at the end of a dark and somber tunnel. She felt less pain and was able to sit up and briefly stand, which was a lot more than she could do before Dr. Patrick came. He is a genuine Healer with a great personality who will make all patients feel better, guaranteed. Mom is looking forward to more sessions with Dr. Patrick because now she knows she has hope to be able to move again. I am signing up to see him for my plantar fasciitis tomorrow as well. I have a feeling various members of our family at some point or the other will all be going to Magno PT!

Dr. Patrick is my physical therapist for my shoulder pain and iam very happy with my care. I really like that I work with him one on one instead of with an assistant or aid. I would recommend him to my friends and family.

Dr. Patrick is amazing. His office is very clean and neat. He listen to you and explains the process and what’s steps to take to start the healing process. He is not forceful on you either the therapy is very relaxing but with results. My husband and I love coming to him and are loving the results. Would recommend friends and family to him.

Patrick was my trainer 5 years ago. He inspired me to run a 5k race and 5 years later, I can proudly say I just ran my 11th race and it has everything to do with Patrick. I was so sad when he left Sage Fitness to pursue his dream of being a doctor of physical therapy. I can only imagine how terrific he is for his patients knowing so much about training and the body and what can improve any physical ailments through therapy. Pat is exceptional! I have a shoulder injury that has persisted for nearly 2 months now and I finally did something about it. Pat treated me with myofascial release and gave me some exercises to do at home. I've already noticed some immediate improvements and pain reduction. He is very skilled, professional, and kind. Highly recommend!

Pat worked on me back when he was fresh out of his doctoral program at USC. Even at that early stage in his career, Dr. M was miles better than other PTs I had previously visited.

Not only is he friendly and super knowledgeable, but Dr. M’s passion toward his craft is obvious in his candid interactions with his clients (at least with me) and his concern for their well-being.

It’s like talking to a scientist-bodybuilder!

Due warning, though:

You will only get out what you put in. It doesn't matter how great Pat is, if you’re not following your PT’s advice after you leave the office, you won't get better. And trust me, Pat can tell when you don't put in the work at home.

Dr. Patrick has a gift! I had issues with my neck apparently but everyone else were treating my shoulders. With just a ten minute session with Dr. Patrick, his effective assessments and treatment, I came out like a new person. I had this pain I've been dealing with for 2 years now and I'm so happy and confident my life will be a lot better. He's very compassionate and caring and he really knows how to listen and relate. Amazing PT! I wouldn't have to look elsewhere for anyone. He's now my PT for life. I'm so blessed and fortunate to have him as a Physical Therapist for my mother. Now he's also my PT and for my whole family. I appreciate you Dr. Patrick!

I cannot recommend Dr. Magno enough. I work as a firefighter and have had a lot of ankle and back issues. Since I have started seeing him; the pain has continued to get better as we work through the problem areas. He is very talented and was able to identify the problems in our initial evaluation visit and provided immediate relief and exercises to help with long lasting solutions.

Dr. Magno is the doctor to see in Orange County for any physical therapy needs. I went to Dr. Magno with excruciating neck pain after visiting a chiropractor and trying to self-treat, which both failed. I hand't been able to get a full night of sleep in weeks from the pain and it was weighing on me. He was diligent, patient, and consultative to resolve my skepticism from poor experience with past doctors. From the start he was attentive and solution focused. With just a short course of therapy, he absolved my pain and helped me build a plan so that it doesn't return. I also work extended hours so he worked with me to build practical solutions for work and home, and even consult on more ergonomic ways of working. I am a huge proponent for him and have been advocated for friends and family to utilize his treatment and services. Thank you again, Dr. Magno!

Took my grandma to Patrick since she has experienced a lot of knee and hip pain. He is very kind and made my grandma feel comfortable. He is patient and listened to all her concerns. It was a pleasant experience for her and we appreciate him very much. If y’all need physical therapist we highly recommend him!

Patrick helped me when I was dealing with crippling back pain. He got me moving (and sleeping and driving) quickly. I am a dancer; he understood how important being able to work with my body was. His hands-on manual work was skillful, and the exercises he guided me through helped me progress and gain strength sustainably. Nothing but great things to say about my experience with this physical therapist. I pulled my back for the first time and it was really scary. I went to see Patrick and he was able to “release” the muscle spasm and rehab my back in only a couple of sessions! Really amazing. I'm have issues with my knees and one of my heels, but since I started taking teraphy at Magno the pain and mobility in my knees are much much better, Patrick is simply the best, he's kind and very patient, and listens to all my complaints and helps me with the problem right away, I highly recommend Patrick's therapy.
