We were told there would be amenities such as a hair dryer, and they didn't even have that. The shower was incredibly small (I'm only 5'1, so that says a lot that it was small even for me). They stated that they had free parking at the front desk, and then I got the bill was charged $45 per night. They also charged us a $25 "urban bundle" fee per night. Don't stay here if you don't like being misled.

Rooms are decent, location is gold and that's makes up for the lack of amenities. Prices fluctuate a lot, so pay attention to them.

My go to place when I need to crash for the night.

Overall my stay was quite nice. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would have to say the only negative thing I experienced was because the building is older, the walls were not very soundproof and I could hear guests in neighboring rooms and even above me on the 2nd floor walking and partying into the early morning hours up until about 3AM. Other than that the neighborhood was quite safe and I was able to walk to WEHO, and Rodeo Drive. There were also nice places to eat or have a cup of coffee nearby.

I own a travel agency in Cape Girardeau Missouri. I was in town for a conference. After checking every option, I discovered the price tag in the region averaged between $900 to $1800 dollars Since I was just needing a place to stay for the conference I couldn't believe it when I found this property for 1/8th of the cost. The hotel is seasoned, which is a nice way to say historic or well worn. The location is prime, and the staff is fully engaged, kind, and over the top on their service - true Beverly Hills Style. The hotel is in desperate need of new carpet and the in room furniture is unique but show nicks and scratches from past guests. But my bathroom was spotless - pristine and had a incredible black and white art deco flair to it. The bed was similar in comfort to a Westin heavenly bed. Great Pillows! The small red elevator was so fun, and it felt like something I would see in a movie. The only recommendation I would give is perhaps to vacuumed the cloth head stand and vacuumed the cloth edging around the bed. But the room WAS CLEAN. If you love a boutique hotel, with historic charm and a great staff and a personalized small lobby bar with a local crowd this is the place for you. However, if worn room décor and thread bare hall carpet will bother you, then not. But I loved it, I would stay here again, and I believe they have a very loyal following. For the money I believe this is the best buy in Beverly Hills and I recommend it to anyone who is not a diva.

Never consider staying at this hotel. If you dont have an option, make sure you talk to your bank right after check out to make sure you block hotel to do any transactions from your bank account. Otherwise the service team is not professional, they will charge you twice. I visited LA to attend the conference, I travel a lot, stayed in many hotel.unfortunately this was the worst experince I have ever had.

We cannot wait to return to this gorgeous boutique hotel in Beverly Hills. It was built in the 1930s by silent film star Lillian Gish as apartments and has been updated to a hotel with guest rooms and a bar downstairs. It is within walking distance to Rodeo Drive and only a short drive from Avenue of the Stars.
The front desk staff are amazing, attentive and professional. If you are a coffee drinker, you MUST grab a cuppa in the lobby before heading out in the morning. It is the best hotel coffee I've had. We didn't venture back down to the bar in the evening, but everyone seemed to be having a great time as we passed by.
The rooms are small but perfect for one or two people. The bed was comfortable and everything was very clean. The bathroom is also tiny, so not a lot of space to lay out toiletries. They provide a hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand lotion. The closet has a mini fridge with small freezer compartment. There isn't a microwave or coffee maker. There is an ironing board and iron. They offer laundry services as well.
Parking is easy in the attached lot. It is $45 per day. Their sister hotel is right behind the lot and permits use of their pool and gym. We ate dinner there and it was very good and reasonably priced, for that area. Our server was professional yet witty and kind. We highly recommend this location to anyone traveling to Beverly Hills, Hollywood or the surrounding areas.

This place is very beautiful, they were playing bowie in the bar which was cool, very art deco, all the staff were extremely friendly & easy to talk to, there IS a pool but its just through the back alley!

my only issue was that the room felt extremely tiny to me but that’s really just a personal problem/ptsd trigger & i actually loved the design alot, i will agree that the bathroom IS small though, but why would you spend all your time in the bathroom?

it’s in a really good area as well, quite safe

From the moment we were greeted at the front desk, they treated us like royalty, the room was perfect for what we needed, and the decor and furnishings create a nice ambience. Even at check out, their expert photographer/front desk clerk took the time to take our picture until it was absolutely perfect. We’ll be returning!

Quiet and convenient location; friendly and welcoming staff. Can't say enough good things about Maison140 in Beverly Hills!

The bathroom and shower were the tiniest I've ever seen (altogether no bigger than 6×3 feet). No room to even stretch your elbows in the shower. The bathroom flooded after every shower. The wifi was bad and unreliable. The floors were squeaky. And like others have mentioned, the smell is bad (though my nose began tolerating it after the first night).

Staff is friendly. Parking available at a cost. Outside and lobby really cute, but rooms are old. Furniture and fixtures are dated. Safe neighborhood. Good value.

Only good thing about this Hotel is it’s location. And maybe a bed.
Room decor is aged, the bathroom was dusty, shower is probably the tiniest standing shower I have ever seen in a hotel. Bathroom door couldn’t be closed (toilet was standing in a way!) “air conditioner” / fan was annoyingly loud.
Hotel entrance and halls have a weird toilet refresher smell. Hotel staff were not friendly at all. At the moment of our stay, front desk was mostly empty and we wanted for check in and check out.
Parking fee was 45$.

Old-school funky luxury in the heart of Beverley Hills! Sure the decor is a just a titch outdated, and the lobby is kinda dark.but this place has GOOD BONES. Not to mention the wonderful staff, very comfy beds, and an absolute gem of a little bar on premises:)
It is safe, quiet, and affordable. A perfect on-the-down-low hideout in a beautiful neighborhood.

Hotel location is amazing, but could really use some extra care.
The shower is the TINIEST standing shower I have ever seen.
Hotel entrance and carpets have a weird smell.
Day 2 I put at 7am the "make your room sign" i came back at 1 it wasn't done yes, then i asked reception and she contacted someone who yelled back on the line "I'll do it after lunch break"
Day 3 I put the make your room sign at 11am, and no one came all day to do the room.
For the price we paid I would expect at least room to be cleaned when we request it.
Day 4 I checked out and was at the bar area waiting for my cab, asked for a water (would have been even willing to pay for it), receptionist checked and said they don't have water in the hotel.
What kind of hotel does not have water?
Ridiculous
