Malek Medicine reviews
10Dr. Irene Malek is such a caring doctor. She takes her time with you and really cares for you as a person. I love how she also gives great referral recommendations when a specialist is needed. Staff is also very polite. Amy is so sweet and helpful when I go. She always greets you with a smile and is super helpful with scheduling my appointments and checking status on my Rx or lab orders. I am hapoy my friends referred me to this office.
Dr. Irene Malek is just the BEST! She explains everything in a patient and clear manner. Dr. Malek's kind, caring and friendly. She also has a very friendly and helpful staff. I needed multiple time sensitive procedures and Amy was quick to retrieve authorization and with her guidance I was able to get things done with no added stress. If you have a HMO, you know what I'm talking about. LOL
Thank you Dr. Malek, Amy and staff for you attention to detail and wonderful patient care.
I love Dr. Irene, however, you have to be patient - it’s a busy office. Amy is such a doll. She is very kind, helpful, and goes the extra mile. You can’t help but to smile when you interact with Amy, she is pure joy.
This is difficult to write as I previously held dr mark Malek and his practice at a high standard and would’ve recommended seeking care from him to everyone.
Dr mark Malek is an amazing physician but there were other SERIOUS mistakes made by the other provider at the clinic that a physician held at such a high standard should not be making. I will not put the details to the situation but a general summary. I was misdiagnosed and put on a very strong medication that had residual negative side effects on my gut lining which is where many issues derive from. It was not until AFTER I finished the prescribed medication was I put on a longer duration of the same meds. Then my pcp ordered a blood test to confirm the findings of the diagnosis that elicited prescribing and medically enforcing these strong meds to be put in my body. The blood results revealed a false positive.
If I go in any longer I will get too upset and say things I don’t want to waste any more of my time on.
Due to recent changes in my insurance and miscommunication with one of the most unprofessional, uneducated, condescending and blatantly just an awful human; my relationship with my precious pcp who I previously viewed as the best provider I’ve ever had- has been ruined
But blaming an immature and petty receptionist isn’t my main reason for this posting.
As the doctor has his own discretion on whether to trust the words of a receptionist over the words of his long term patient whom he has cared for and my family as well
If you are seeking care that is professional, unbiased, and dependable I advise seeking caste elsewhere
I am disheartened and upset that I am even writing this review. But what I have gone through with this private medical practice and second hand my doctor, I would NEVER wish for anyone else to experience.
I just had cancer done at the city of hope, about 2 weeks later the city of hope was returning me to work. I asked, why so soon I was told you no longer have cancer. DR M MALEK kept me out until my Carbon monoxide was in the 20ties, it was 42. And doing that made all
I have no doubt that the doctors are amazing based on the reviews, but the office staff are terrible, and I've never felt unsafe in a medical office during Covid until I entered Malek Medicine today. My ENT (who I love) referred me to Dr. Irene Malek, and I was really looking forward to seeing her at my appointment today. Prior to my appointment, I confirmed that masks were required, and all of the Covid safety protocols were being followed. I have asthma, and a toddler at home, so I am overly cautious. I was told that yes, masks are required and everyone in the office wears masks. When I arrived, there were 8-10 nurses/staff in the front lobby and half of them weren't wearing masks or had their masks down under their chins. Yet, there's a sign at the front desk that says masks are required. I told the front desk staff that I was really uncomfortable with the lack of safety, and she just shrugged at me. So, I walked out.
It is disturbing that a medical office would behave in such a way. A medical office should be doing the MOST to follow all safety measures, and protect its patients.
I absolutely love being a patient of Dr Mark Malek. He is such a wonderful Doctor and person, very understanding of your needs as a Doc. The office staff is very professional and helpful as well.
I had seen Dr. Irene Malek in 2006 and loved her and moved again (i couldn't take it anymore and moved back) i am now a patient of hers again and i love love love her new office, staff, and most of all Dr. Irene Malek. She is the very best, kind, caring, very thorough doctor i have had. Thank You Dr. I. Malek for making my health better, and staff for being so on top of things. <3
I was referred to dr.irene malek by my mom.she is so smart and well spoken.very sensitive and kind.
Staff here was great. The waiting room was very busy given they were administering COVID vaccines, but everything was orderly and communication was good. We waited about 15 minutes past our scheduled appointment, but that's to be expected given how busy they were. Check-out was pleasant. Overall great facility and medical care. Front office staff was stretched, but did a solid job.
