Manhattan Beach Post reviews
17I had diner at this lovely restaurant en the service (from Steven and huis coworkers) was exellent. Thnks a lot for a memorable x-mas evening….
Cocktails are great! The food is average but positive for MB. However, the music selection is very poor and ruins any sort of vibe of this place. They need to hire someone to shorten the menu and sort out the music decisions being made.
I had a great dinner at Manhattan Beach Post with my family when we were in LA visiting my brother. I am a big fan of small plates and sharables because I can taste a bit of everything but I did hoard (with my family's blessing) the potato gnocchi because it was so delicious and I love pasta more than I love some relatives. Other highlights included the hot fried chicken, everything spiced soft pretzel, the french fries, and pork all' arrabbiata spaghetti. There was something for everyone and we all really enjoyed our meal.
The servers were friendly but not very receptive to questions about the food. We had to do some figuring out of some stuff ourself which was fine. The seats are not comfortable, there is not one comfortable seat in this restaurant - just something to keep in mind if you are with older people or anyone with a bad back. It was also pretty dark inside. The design is more aesthetic than functional.
It's a great spot to go with a date or your friends. My family had a great time but that depends on your family and their ages and tastes. I do recommend stopping by if you're in the area or the menu looks good to you! The food was great and I had a good night but I don't think I would go out of my way to go back.
Biscuits to go were still warm and delicious. I asked for extra butter and got plenty for all the biscuits.
Good place for brunch in Manhattan. Staff is friendly. Menu is kind of limited but the food is good.
I ordered wine, but the wine glass did not match the quality, and people who ordered by bottle and glass were discriminated against. The staff in charge of me was not very satisfied as the service to receive a tip was not high.
Absolutely love this place, one our favorite restaurants! Been coming here for years. Great drinks and even better food.after dinner tou can hit the Icecream spot on the xorner and walk it all off on the pier. Cool date night. We love the biscuits, charcuterie boards, green beans, skirt stake, and anything else that looks appealing. Always a good experience. We even take the kids when we don't need alone time.
We love going to mb post! The food is amazing, the drinks are awesome and best of it - the service! The turmeric naan was awesome and the almond tart was Incredible!
Went for brunch. Food was dry. Especially the burger patty. Asked for medium and it was basically well done and dry. The fried chicken sandwich lacked flavor and was also very dry. The biscuits were good tho.
Great food. Everything we had was excellent. The biscuits, naan, green beans, pork pasta, hangar steak, rib eye, and the spicy fried chicken <— not spicy at all though FYI
Trendy, good vibe brunch. Cocktails etc available, although I really enjoyed my huge pot of English Breakfast tea. Food was totally delicious and the staff efficient and friendly.
They got my order wrong twice. After making me wait an extra 30 min since they messed up my order while my date already had his food, they finally bought my order out and it tasted absolutely disgusting. Then they put bacon on my desert after I specifically told them not to. The waitress was weird and kept flirting with my date in front of me. It was pathetic and an overall low quality experience. I basically left this place hungry and annoyed. Obviously will never return.
The restaurant is beautiful but they didn’t have great gluten free / vegan options. Not their fault but unfortunately it was hard to eat here. Loved the spicy margarita though!
A local go to! Never disappoints and in fact gets better each time. Their hamachi, naan and scallops are OUT OF THIS WORLD. Fabulous food, cocktails, and service!
Just blown away by the food here. Loved the biscuits, gnocchis, scallops and desserts. Very good service too. We were here last year before the renovation (and Covid) - love the new decor, setting and menu. We had an amazing dining experience, can't wait to come back!
Came here on a Friday night as a walk-in around 7: 30pm and got seated at the bar after a 2 minute wait. They do take reservations. Street parking is available though you’ll probably have more luck parking further. Bathrooms are available by the bar. Credit cards are accepted. Indoor and outdoor dining was available.
Everyone told me to get the bacon cheddar cheese biscuits, and I’d agree that they’re the standout dish of the night. They came two to an order with a sweet butter on the side. The salmon tikka masala tasted a bit licorice-y to me, so I would steer away from that dish, unless you like that flavor profile. The ricotta tortellini was plump but also had a strong ginger taste in some of them. For me personally, I’m cool with ginger but it was a bit of surprise since it wasn’t listed as an ingredient on the menu.
I sometimes visit at weekends. It's a good location for a walk. I would say the food level is ok. The atmosphere is good.
