Manpuku Japanese BBQ Torrance

I made reservations for Valentines day never having ate there and I am so happy we did. The atmosphere is so romantic. The lighting is dim, the place is neat and light jazz music played in the background. The staff was attentive, polite, and very helpful when we had questions. We ordered the kobe dinner for 2, it came with a salad, kimchi, basil tomato and spicy pickled Cucumber. In addition to all the meat choices we get, we were also served a fresh roasted garlic rice and a beautiful spicy beef soup. The meat was wonderfully marbled and we cooked it to medium rare. The evening ended with a vanilla ice cream pumpkin sauce and mochi. Ten out of ten would come again.

Expensive but very delicious Japanese bbq. They have tasting menus and buy as you go options. The skirt steak and short rib was our favorite. They have very good marinades and nice texture. Just bring a full wallet.

Usually the food tastes good here but not considered. Service are averages. Overcharge me several times with a “sincere” apologies.

We‘ve been here several times， the food is always good and so is the service. But today is the first time I've experienced this： the waitress messed up while she was stirring the bimbimbap, but after that she just left and came back once to clean it…. Said nothing, not a word…. And never came back during the whole dinner. I don’t understand, is she mad at us because of her own mistake? We didn’t even say anything…….

Amazing food. The Service is excellent, I highly recommend trying the Kobe beef. You cook it on the grille at your table. Pricing is mid high to high level, so be prepared for that wallet smack. But well worth every dollor spent there. Many thanks to the staff who made it a great dinner and evening!

First time here. Loved the pork belly with lettuce wraps (two orders) and the Spicy Beef Soup (two orders). Not as smoky as you would think given the built-in table-grill.

It was so good! It was our first time trying this place and I will definitely come back for special occasions!
