Our furry family members have been patients of MHAH since 2008. The entire team has always been kind compassionate, caring and informative. They took care of many of the puppies-in-training for the Guide Dog school for a very discounted rate, and gave them the same amazing care. They now help us care for some of those foster dogs we adopted and are getting us through the geriatric years one day at a time. I realize care is expensive but have never regretted the testing they recommend. We are never forced to make decisions, and feel the tests have given the team information to help us make informed decisions. Dr. Simon, Dr. Desowitz, Dr. Stevens, Tracy, Ana K Terri and all the staff are wonderful. They also give the best baths around!

BEST vet hospital i have ever been to! I love that it is family owned. All of the staff are clear animal lovers and are so gentle and sweet to my pets! Dr. Simon is so incredible. He is kind & intelligent and explains everything is such a comprehensible way. I really couldn’t ask for better care for my animals and trust them with my babies lives. Mary and Terri are also lovely, as well as every other doctor I’ve seen there. Fair pricing, happy staff, happy pets. I’m never going anywhere else! 10/10 recommend!

Staff was great but doctor came across as egocentric & kept mansplaining really basic things to me that I was already educated on. It wasted alot of time. He also was not “collaborative” in nature and unknowingly talked down to me. I don’t think hes a bad person I think hes just “unaware” of how he comes across. If I was passive & uneducated I probably wouldn’t have noticed his communication deficiencies.

My dog was 14 years old and was suffering from partial paralysis of his hind legs. His situation was incurable and we knew it would certainly lead to his passing very soon. He could only drag his rear paws which were always somewhat bloody. Sadly we knew his time was coming to an end very soon as he simply could not go on like it was. He had no quality of life. My wife took him to Marina Hills Animal Hospital, which had been his veterinary provider, to see if any type of medication could help him with the hope that maybe he could live another few weeks. In the past, whenever I took him there they ALWAYS tried to get me to have extra services performed which were always unnecessary and I declined. However, they convinced my wife to have blood workup done on our poor dying dog that was over $500. My wife, desperate and not thinking rationally due to her love for our dog, agreed to the test. 3 days later our beloved dog's situation deteriorated such that we had to euthanize him.

I am left angry and bitter that Marina Hills Animal Hospital would prey on my wife' vulnerability and recommend an expensive blood test that could not possibly help. The irony is the day before we put him down the vet called very happy to say that his blood work came back good and he was fine.except for some minor issue with a liver enzyme that might require attention. I reminded her that he was dying from his current condition so she stopped pressing that we have his liver checked. To the end they wanted me to spend more money on an obviously hopeless situation. I regret I every trusted Marina Hills Animal Hospital. They have no integrity and clearly take advantage of loving pet owners by recommending unnecessary, expensive "treatments", even to dying old dogs.

We had to say goodbye to our special dog Bodie and Dr. Simon was amazing.he cared for Bodie as well as our family. It was such a sad time for us and Marina Hills Animal Hospital made it so much better. They even sent a card from all the staff.
