Update 12/2023: Visited Marley's Treats' storefront in downtown Hayward and ordered a $22 Ube Sampler to try everything (and let my husband have some too). It contains two each of their flan-topped ube cheesecakes, ube cupcakes, and flandesal, their ube sweet-bread treat stuffed with their flan. Obviously, ube and flan flavors are the focus here, and they're all a lot of fun to eat.
The flan-topped cheesecake is probably the star, as it unites creamy and rich flavors to complement each other, but I quite liked the flavor of them all.

Ube Flinkle cookie: a crinkle cookie with a flan filling! Loved the sweet sugar cookie taste with an excellent texture, and the fun flan surprise.

After years of going to Marleys, I have to say this is the best place for ube desserts in the bay area. It's not even close. Try everything, especially the ube flan combo desserts.

So I have been obsessed with Ube since I’ve first had ube cookies after moving to the bay. This place is family owned and the make awesome treats. Sadly their ube cookie dough is always low in stock, but I’ve had the ube milkshake and it’s amazing!

Literally the best cupcakes, first cupcakes with frosting so amazing I’d honestly just eat a spoonful of it.the older I get the less I like frosting, but it’s amazing here. I love when their food truck comes to OMCA.

I'm so glad this is located in downtown Hayward close to home! If you're a fan of ube or sweets in general, this place serves Filipino inspired desserts from pandesal to ube ice cream.their leche flan is AMAZING. Marley's Treat is woman owned by someone who has been in Hayward for quite some time, so it's nice seeing a business that is truly local and Hayward still thriving. Located in downtown, plenty of parking across the street in the parking garage or behind the building in the Luckys shopping plaza.

We tried the BOBa Marley milkshake which is ube milkshake, ube whipped cream, leche flan, and tiny boba. It's ube heaven in a cup - vibrant in purple and rich in sweetness and ube. We loved the creamy milkshake with the tiny boba + leche flan. My husband and I shared this and we felt so full from this drink. Then we had the ube sampler which consists of 2 leche ube cheesecake (ube cheesecake with flan on top), 2 ube cupcakes, and 2 ube pandesal. My husband loved the pandesal - it wasn't too sweet and that leche flan creates an amazing texture contrast. We also had the leche flan cookies - fluffy big cookies with flan inside. I've never had anything like this! The cookies were so good - I shared them with my nephew and he loved the snickerdoodle flavor. They have other items on the menu such as ice cream, flanana, etc. I remember I had an ube coffee drink here last year but don't think they have it on the menu this time around. I think they're always trying out different takes on ube desserts. We brought a dozen of ube pandesal and half dozen of ube flan cheesecake to a family party and everybody loved it. Definitely hit up this spot if you want some ube inspired desserts for a gathering!

The bakery is super cute with flower wall decor and "hella dope n delicious" light sign. Great photo op with your IG worthy desserts!

Absolutely amazing red velvet cupcake. The frosting was perfectly lightweight and creamy at the same time. I'd recommend they serve it with a strawberry on the side. My experimental pairing went really well lol

I love supporting local businesses especially for custom orders. Marley’s made custom birthday macaroons for my partner where they cut out edible ink to place on top. This was a huge hit! $30/dozen

We tried their cupcakes too and it was delicious. $17 for 6

My only feedback is the football macaroons didn’t have completely dried frosting on top and some of them smeared. I understand they were in a rush so maybe could’ve done an alternative like ink paper again.

This small shop is a hidden gem! It's tucked on the main street and there was ample parking around the stores.

I ordered 4 items and they were all deeeliicious!
- Ube flandesal: The ube & flan work perfectly together. The ube flavor was really prominent and the sweet flan in the center gave a nice sweet taste
- Flan ube cheesecake: this one looked very appetizing! The flan had good texture, the ube cheesecake was super creamy, and the crust was crisp and good. However, both combo was a bit too sweet for my liking but my kid loves it so much!
- Flanana: my FAVORITE! It tasted similar to banana pudding but 100x better! The creaminess & slight caramelized flavor from the flan definitely elevate the pudding
- Ube cupcake: my second favorite! The cake itself was super delicious! It was not sweet at all but has a bit of savory taste & I could definitely taste the ube. The frosting was delicious too - just the right amount of sweetness and together, they works wonderfully!

I will definitely come back for more and more to satisfy my ube craving!

An on-point ube spot in the East Bay? ! YESSSSSS. Just tell me how to get there!

Marley's a woman run business that does ube right! When we arrived, the line was halfway down the block, if that's any indication of how popular this place is becoming. But don't worry, they have a pick-up counter, so you can call your orders in ahead of time. ;-)

Ube comes from a sweet yam with a vibrant, purple color. It's probably most known for being in halo-halo and other Filipino desserts. It has a sweet, but still mild, flavor.

Wanting to try Marley's favorites, we snagged ourselves the ube sampler ($20). It comes with an ube cupcake, ube flan cheesecake, a flandesal (flan filled pandesal), and their flanana (banana flan pudding).
- The Cupcake is exactly what you would expect. Moist cake with a mild ube flavor and purple frosting. Delicious!
- The Ube Flan Cheesecake is very sweet. The flavor of the ube cheesecake on bottom, cut through some of the sweetness of the flan. The flan topping is almost as thick as the mini cheesecake.
- Flandesal tastes just like it sounds. Fluffy pandesal bread with a beautiful purple color, filling with an ube custard. Yumm!
- Flanana is an interesting mixture of flan and banana, whipped into a fluffy pudding, with a crumb topping. This was a little too sweet for me, but I can see the appeal of the pairing.

You'll find even more tasty treats at Marley's, just scour their delectable desserts menu. And everything comes with a complimentary side of impeccable service.
