Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina reviews
152 receptionists for a huge hotel.so the wait time can be really long. Other than that the hotel is very nice
I’ve stayed twice one room was significantly nicer then the other did have a balcony both times. Fella that checked me in was friendly and got me in a room pretty far in front of normal checkin. The marina is nice, but outside of that little far away waking wise from main parts of town.
This is a very large bowl and conference center. The staff was very attentive and responsive. Our room was on the 8 th floor of the south tower with a view overlooking the bay and the swimming pool area. There are several restaurants and many different shops. The room was very spacious and clean. The bathroom was a nice size and also very clean. The king size bed was very comfortable. The room had a safe and a mini fridge. The AC worked well. The lights in the bathroom and closet worked by motion detector. You need to make sure doors are shut prior to sleeping as motion may turn the lights on when you don't want them. I works suggest having phone charging capabilities on both sides of the bed abs thought it was odd that there were no vents in the bathroom.
I loved the hotel and location, service could have been better, but they really didn't take away from my enjoyment to much
This is a decent hotel. Rooms are ok.
They don't provide water bottles, you need to purchase water. They do have an counter to buy water, but it closes at 11PM.
You will not be provided with any kits, explicitly ask for what you require every day.
The quality of combs, shaving kit are very low grade. Its better to carry yours and not depend on hotel kits.
Dental kit can be used.
Bath robes are not provided, make sure to carry your robes if you plan for swimming.
We were here for a large event for the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Diego. This hotel did a great job of setting up and providing a good outside venue. Btw the food was pretty good too. I'd give em at least a 90.
We had a balcony room on the bay side. The view was beautiful. Our son enjoyed playing in the pool the most. There was a kids museum within walking distance that was a lot of fun. There was a park/grassy area within walking distance. The Gass Lamp District was about a 15 minute walk. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.
This a San Diego hotel I would consider paying $300 plus a night for to enjoy the view and walking distance to downtown and marina attractions, as well as the convention center. Everything about this place was top notch, especially the marina view rooms. $45 a day to park is steep but common downtown.
I was disappointed by the service compared to how expensive it is. The hotel is very close to San Diego convention center and downtown San Diego, making the location great. The view from hotel is also good. But the room service and all we're not so good, this was really disappointing.
No complaints, no thrills type of person. However those I know who are staying here as well have had no complaints. Amazing views, go for south facing views from either tower for the best views.
This hotel felt very much like a Vegas Resort. It offers almost anything you would need and has beautiful views of the waterfront.
Staff was friendly except the bartenders out in the pool bar. They are the only reason I took one star away for service.
Indoor bar staff and front desk were all great.
Rocio in the hotel coffee and snack shop is one of the nicest hotel employees I’ve ever met and has an infectious positive personality.
Amazing Hotel! Staff was the best! Mr. Nino was an absolute family vacation hero! We loved our stay and definitely will be back!
Lovely pool area. Room looked like it was recently updated. Lots of amenities, close to everything.
Customer service is great, convenient location.
The good: Rooms are very nice, clean, and luxurious. Plenty of amenities such as USB and wall socket outlets next to the bed and desk area, Smart TV with the ability to watch Netflix, YouTube, and connect using Bluetooth, shampoo and body wash built into the wall of the shower, and bright lights throughout.
Neutral: The toilet is European with that weird deepness and flush that us Americans are not familiar with.
The bad: The beds seem cheap and lumpy. The pillows are amongst the worst I've ever slept on. They're fluffy until you put your head on them and your head sinks and levels with the bed. Very uncomfortable. For the rates being so high, I'd expect the luxury aspect to extend past the looks. Other than that, I can't complain about much else.
Except for parking. The parking garage is super small.
