Massage Envy, Milpitas CA

My experience was pretty good until the actual massage. The front desk was super helpful and friendly from booking over the phone to checking in and the location was clean and nice.

My massage therapist was Wendy, and while I believe she has the potential to give a good massage (I booked her specifically for several good reviews I read on her deep tissue massage) she would not listen my requests. The front desk asked what area I would like to be focused on and since I am pregnant my main area of pain and discomfort is my lower back and sacroiliac joint. Although I had booked a deep tissue massage and told Wendy I like firm pressure, she kept telling me she couldn’t do firm pressure on my lower back for fear it might harm the baby. Despite multiple requests by me for more pressure, the result of my 90 minute massage was that she only spent about 5 minutes on my lower back which consisted of basically rubbing lotion on it with hardly any pressure.

I have had prenatal massage in my previous pregnancy with firm pressure that was just fine at other non-Massage Envy locations. As a matter of fact in birthing classes they teach techniques to your spouse for applying firm pressure to the hips and back area for relief in late pregnancy and during birth. So I dont know why Wendy refused to provide me the massage I requested. She told me come back after I give birth and she can do firm pressure on my lower back.

I walked out with no relief to the main area that has been ailing me for months. I feel like I wasted over $200.

I got to Massage Envy 10 min ahead of time but I didn’t get to start my massage until it was already 15 min after my appointment time. I thought the clock would start when the massage actually started. However, they still ended my session on time which means it was cut off 15 min early

Wendy gives a great massage. I recommend her and have been seeing her for over 5 years in Milpitas.

I've been exceptionally pleased with this location. All of the staff are friendly, and Ralph is highly skilled and a pleasure to work with!

Always have a great experience with Ralph.he knows just where to apply pressure to get out my knots and kinks from being hunched over a desk all day. Front desk staff are always friendly and helpful too. Really, you can't ask for a better massage experience!

Emma was very professional and helpful at the front desk. Wendy did a wonderful job on my prenatal massage, I went home feeling so relaxed.

I have been a member here for over 7 or 8 years now collectively at their 2 different branches. What I like the most is the way most if their massage therapists do a good job to help relieve us from pain and relax our muscles. The front desk and management are good and professional but I would live it if some if their policies changed a bit.
Like, allowing the member to share their paid hours with their family members for atleast 2 to 4 times a year so that it would become more easier to convert them as well as members. Sometimes, some family members would like to get massages done very occassionally on a as on need basis. Then, being a long term member we should be able to share a few of our paid hours with such family members in need.

Another request is to give us the full time slot like 60 mins or 90 mins. I can understand the massage therapists need time to setup the room before the next client comes in. Could you book the time slots accordingly leaving such 10-15 mins between two appointments? Currently, our time is getting cut short by 12-15 minutes. The price has doubled since I started as a member but the duration of a session has not increased and moreover we are loosing 12-15 mins from our session for this setup.

I hope you do not increase the price anytime soon. These are tough times for us too. Please understand.

I hope the therapists are getting breaks to rest in between the sessions. Sometimes we notice that towards the last 20 mins or so they become slow and look tired though they do not admit to that. They would have had multiple back to back sessions that day.

I like that you have introduced some addons (enhancements) for $10 to $15 each.

Ralph was great as always. Took great care to make sure all areas were dealt with. Remembers my target areas and strengths to use in each area. Will definitely use him again!

The place is clean and my appointment started and ended on time.

My masseur (I will not name this person) was mediocre. They did respond when I asked for more pressure, however a massage therapist is supposed to identify issues with the body and target appropriately.

I have several issues with my neck and shoulders, and did not feel that my therapist provided correct relief for the tightness I have. Instead they just provided general pressure that was all over - I don’t think the therapist could have pointed to my knots if I asked. I’ve had better massages.

Customer experience was excellent.
Tried facial for first time after reading positive reviews but DID NOT work for me at all. Not a bit difference before and after facial. Even though the facial time was supposed to be 60 mins, it was completed under 40 mins and no massage on face. It felt like she applied 4 or 5 different creams and wiped after 5 mins. Over priced ($150) and Disappointing

Jenny was amazing. I prefer deep tissue massages and she worked out a lot of my knots. I have sciatica pain and she put my leg in a bent position so she could loosen my glutes. It definitely helped! Jenny checked on me throughout the session to make sure I was comfortable. I highly recommend Jenny if you like a deeper massage, but she does other pressures as well.

Sue is consistently superb in her massage techniques, that’s why I always request her to take of me.
