Mateo's Ice Cream & Fruit Bars, Los Angeles CA

Poor service here, they only had one person ordering inside the store, and i went inside and they told me to wait outside even though there was only one person ordering, once they finished i went inside and a group of people came in as well, but they didn’t kick them out, it was unfair they need to work on their service.

Best ice cream mid city. Freshly made and a good variety of seasonal flavors. They do they a ton of product and it’s all good.

The shop was clean and well organized. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. I was in awe at the variety of ice cream flavors. I order the tuna sandwich combination plate. It was fresh and delicious. I was happy with my food, wholesome fresh and tasty. I certainly recommend this place.

This place beats Baskin Robin's 31 flavor hands down. The paletas are so good and the ice creams are great because they are all made fresh and natural. The thing I like the most it's that they are tropical and exotics flavors and taste. I love the Jamaica, coconut and lime paletas. Ive also had the guanabana or sour sap ice cream, yum! If you can travel to the tropics, go get some tropical flavors from Mateo's!

The fruit popsicles is everything you expect and more. The watermelon popsicle was delicious! Can't wait to go back and try some of the other flavors.

Their ice cream is bomb. I don't really like the green juice it taste like they put watter in it it's just my opinion!

Love this place but they're asking for vaccination proof to be without a mask and they still haven't opened their dining area. As someone who followed guidelines all year and gotten vaccinated, it's pretty annoying.

May 24,2021 at 8: 50 pm Avoid coming here late like 10 minutes before closing! They are so rushed to clean and go I asked for tuna 5 dollar 2 scoops and received less. Than 1 scoop then I asked for 1 scoop pistachio and the girl served me 2 scoops I stopped her and said that's 3 dollar scoop she said yes! I then asked for 1 scoop chocolate and she ends up charging me 18 I said the una is 5 pistachio is 3 and chocolate is 3 I don't get it she said no. So she went to the side and scooped ice-cream out which is fine but served me less than a scoop so I left unhappy. More customers arrived and they were aggravated. I understand is closing time but I am still a paying customer and it's unacceptable I feel robbed.

Best ice cream and fruit bars in the whole city! I've know this place for over 20 years and I dont mind the drive there everything is so delicious!

I had drove past the place for years always seen the line outside but yet still I was still skeptical. But after I was introduced to it I can't stop going.

The ice cream parlor is one of the best ice cream shop in LA. It is clean. They take good precautions. The ice cream has good flavor and very good presentation.

I wish I had bought bigger one. Lovely service. They're worth trying. Homemade ice cream with ingredients of natural origin. The mango sorbet is delicious, and chocolate sauce, dark or white chocolate, can be selected on top.

Tuna sandwiches? Boom! Mind-blowing. Their fruit cups and natural blended juices? The best! Their Ice cream? You already know. Open during covid and crew is quick to prepare orders. Try this place out!

This place is usually busy busy busy! Especially during the summer. But the sandwiches, smoothies, and ice cream are super tasty!

Mateo's Ice Cream & Fruit Bars is a pretty regular place inside the Japanese Village Mall in Little Tokyo. Looks pretty average until you try their AWESOME mochilatos.

The place is great for deserts and sandwiches. Just make sure to follow directions and wear a mask. Prices can be high but worth the cost

Everything is homemade and very tasty. This ice cream was the best for me so far. So tasty orange ice cream with dark chocolate.
