Matt Denny's Ale House Restaurant reviews
17Omg! Best Patty Melt I've had in a long time. Service was great! Staff super friendly. Go check out it out, you won't be sorry.
CHECK YOUR RECEIPT! We went here for dinner since it was close to our hotel. When I first walked in it was extremely dark. I thought it would be pub vibes but felt more like honkey tonk vibes. Our waitress took our order pretty quickly. When she came back with our drinks she spilled our ordered cider all over me. She sort of cleaned up but ran away quickly. She was able to replace the one she spilled but no comp just a quick apology. We ordered appetizers and they were okay, not any better than BJ's or the Outback. Finally, when we got our bill I noticed that we were charge a dollar more each cider and beer ordered. I questioned the waitress and she took the receipt away to fix it. When she returned, she returned with the manager, this felt a little intimidating. He was being "friendly" but was asking us a lot of questions. Maybe because we weren't regulars and are people of color, I don't know? The cider price was fixed but I noticed they charged me an extra $0.50 more on my beers ($7.50). I didn't want to make a fuss, if they are hard up for $2.00 maybe they need the money. In the end we spent $141 for appetizers, spilt cider and to be overcharged for our drinks. My recommendation, go to BJ's or the Outback for better service and accurate prices.
Had to spit out stainless steel scrubber pieces that made it into the food also tiny bits of what seems like tissue paper
Had the Calamari and it was tough and rubbery. You don't fry Calamari to a color you fry based on time and oil temp. Figure out how long it takes to fry it tender and not to color and hold the kitchen to it.
The burger was good, the restaurant smells a little weird but you only notice when entering
Excellent kitchen staff. Poor product. Good drinks; do you feel lucky? Overpriced for what they offer. Whoever owns this restaurant does not know what they are doing. They offer a "French Pinot Noir" wine that tastes like dregs. I did a little research and discovered that it is not a winery; possibly someone in an industrial park mixing dregs of different cheap wines. It is a complete swig swindle! The food gets a 3 star for the flavor, not the quality.
Cafe style restaurant with American fair, inside and outside dining. Family and dog friendly.
My kids are in love with Matt Denny's Ale House Restaurant, we spend our weekend evenings here with dilicious food. Highly recommended
Such a great dining experience. Thank you so much to our servers Jackie & Mitchell for the great service, hospitality, food, and libations
It was great awesome food must try the mushrooms sandwich and of course Emma was a great I helping with selection
Everytime I go to Matt Denny's the place is impeccable. The food is good the service is great
Still one of my favorite spots in Arcadia. Love happy hour, the food is fantastic and it's just a nice place to relax!
Food was okay, prices are overly high. Tater tots for $15? $15 for mozzarella sticks? Onion rings for $15? Doesn't that sound high just for some onion rings? A BLT for $16 had better be an amazing BLT. This one was acceptable. Service was top notch
No photos on purpose because I don't want to mislead folks. Two of us were sharing a ceaser salad and seafood plate and without asking our server split everything to 2 plates. Spot on ceaser with shrimp. And the seafood player is excellent. Enjoyed a Russian River sour beer. And then we had white chocolate cheesecake. OMG. This is an edit with photo because that was EXCELLENT. We are here on a family thing but if we lived close I could hang out here!
Broccoli and cheddar soup was delish. And the Guiness stew was pretty good too. Root beer was well carbonated! Service was good too.
Wish I lived closer. Solid happy hour, good food, great beer selection, full bar, and the servers were very friendly. I'll be back.
