Owner made the rounds to check on us to see how the food was, it was excellent. Always appreciate the small spots like this where they're in the trenches with their workers

This visit to Maurizio's was for a holiday get together with long-time dear friends. Their food is fabulous and very fresh. I ordered one of their specials that should be on the regular menu!

Maurizio’s is the best Italian food in San Diego county, please eat here! My family and I have been coming to Maurizio’s for years. The atmosphere is authentic and the team is great. We are always treated like part of the family.

Best Italian spot this side of the Mississippi. Italian family owned. It’s the favorite spot for locals. Good wine selection. Marinara sauce is the bomb and lasagna

Amazing menu selection and very helpful and friendly staff. Fresh and authentic Italian cuisine that reminded us of the Sicilian dinners we'd have at my wife's grandfather's house.

The host, waiter, and even the guys who bussed the tables were super friendly. It has a small cozy vibe perfect for a family dinner or a nice Italian meal with friends. I really loved the food and I’ll be coming back for sure!

Had the Chicken Parm and it was probably the best I've ever had. The waiter was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive. Loved every minute of it

Best Italian food I’ve ever had. Better than SD and NY Little Italy and right on par with traditional family recipes.all the staff and the owner, Maurizio, were so professional and friendly. Came with my girl friend to enjoy good conversation, wine, and food and we were blown away by the quality of the food. We paid $130 with tip for 2 specialty entrees and 4 glasses of wine and would happily do it again. The quality of the food tasted like it was worth double. We will be returning here for years to come I hope! Ambience is inviting and the perfect spot to relax with vino and enjoy long conversation. My new favorite restaurant!

Went to this place a while back and the food was awesome. The place had great vibes when we walked by and they were able to find us a table even though we did not have a reservation. Will definitely come again when in the area next.

Delicious, refined Italian in a comfortable atmosphere. We showed up with 7 on a July Friday night and they made room and sat us. The appetizers were so good (bruschetta, caprese, burrata, etc). The cheese is sooo fresh. The pastas were all delicious (the carbonara was 10/10) and the party enjoyed the chicken parm as well. There is no pizza here but all the other Italian was fantastic.

This is our favorite Italian in north county. Food was so AUTHENTIC, full of flavor, great wine options and service was great. We will definitely come back.

We've been here three of four times and each time the service and attention to details has been top notch and the food is great. Gerardo was our server more than once and always made sure we had a pleasant evenings. Definitely recommend if your are in Encinitas.

This is still a gem which never disappoints. Delicious food, extensive wine list and excellent service. Can’t wait to return!
