Maust's California Poultry reviews
9 In addition to buying live chickens, you can also buy the freshest chickens and eggs. Chickens are also divided into roosters and hens. You can also buy duck, steak, and dried meat. There are mainly various types of eggs, and jams and nectar are also sold, pollen and other seasonings.
You can also buy fruits and vegetables here! There are also cute animals to see, which is quite interesting
This egg farm is amazing. They have changed unbelievably. We went ten years ago and it is so different much cleaner We went over to billy's Across the street, which we have been there for 10 years. And now we believe we should change. They have changed over the years since covid. Sorry Billy we loveeMaust's now. Price pretty comparable.
Eggs are great but people buying here are horribly inconsiderate. Because the number of people who can enter this small store is limited some shoppers today spent 45 minutes 'browsing' a store that is only 20 feet by 20 feet. The line was 18 customers deep stretching out to the street. Then when they finally left they went to their car and cut the line and went right back in. Have some consideration folks. When you go to the store get what you need and get out. It shouldn't take 45 minutes to buy eggs.
Chickens are sick and smell. The conditions at their growing houses in Hemet are absolutely horrific. Super sad. Please support pasture raised and ethically treated animals. Peace and love.
Was sold 3 year old hens at the price of young pullets and when I argued with them, they just laughed. Also paid for a rooster and was given a hen. And of course my hens from here don't lay, it's been several months and not a single egg. Stick with real farms and poultry exchange groups. Don't throw away your money here.
I have gotten live chickens over the years and recently went to this business for a new young flock and the newest 6 I got two months ago are sickly and was told they didn't have pullets and so went with older hens and not even a few days later, they had pullets outside and chicks when we were told they didn't. They were definitely trying to get rid if their sicker ones, first and last time I will ever go there.
There was a short line, waiting was brief, handicap parking very close to entrance door, no curb service, however if needed someone would take your order to the car. Employees were very kind and helpful. Also they have fresh vegetables and fruits grown there on the farm. I suggest arriving prior to 8am the demand for their eggs fruits and veggies are high.
When I got there, there were about 15 people ahead of me and when I got inside there were still a line of people outside waiting to come in to get the precious eggs that we all enjoy every day. But I got my eggs they were expensive but much cheaper than what the stores are selling them for.
