Mavericks Pizza, Manteca CA

I tried mavericks for the first time recently since it’s down the street from my grandparents house, and man…. The pizza is my new favorite! It tastes so fresh and is actually CHEAPER than dominoes! After trying them once, I couldn’t wait to get a pizza from there again.

This is a very good pizza place. We ordered the combination and then just a pepperoni pizza. We also got the jalapeño cheesy bread delicious.

First time trying Maverick's Pizza. I had seen some good Yelp reviews and decided to give it a try. We ordered a large specialty pizza (16 inches) half pepperoni half Mav's Hawaiian. We also ordered the rib tips with bbq sauce on the side. The pizza was very good. The pepperoni side was considerably more greasy than the Hawaiian, so it wasn't as crispy. Next time I would probably ask them to transfer the pizza a few times to get rid of the excess grease. The rib tips were very meaty and cooked well, a great deal for $7.50. They have a lot of different sides, including mozzarella sticks, meatballs, and cheesy bread. It is a very small parlor with only a few tables, so I would opt for takeout unless you are popping in by yourself for a quick meal. The girl helping the counter was very nice, and our pizza came out very quickly. I will definitely be back to try some different pizzas and sides!

Not a traditional calzone because cheese on top but still a good pizza. Pizza sauce on the side for dipping was not acidic. Very well done. I will be back for more. 2nd visit for garlic chicken pizza was excellent. Great tasting pizza. The whole roasted garlic was sweet. Chicken, bacon mushroom garnished with spinach was great.

This pizza place was recommended by a friend. It took about 10 minutes to get noticed we were there to order. Pizza was ok.crust could be a little thicker. We give it 6 out of 10. Nice people work there. Yummy desserts. Couple from Lathrop

I ordered in store, the staff were super friendly. I got the family night special, I didn't wait very long for everything. Excellent food! Reasonable prices! Definitely coming back here in the future!

Place is slow gives improper time quotes waited a hour for 1 medium pepperoni pizza which was barley edible absolute waste of 20 bucks!

Took my Grandmother and Uncle to lunch here. We ordered the Queen B. Absolutely delicious! The name matches my 22 Ford Maverick <3

Mother and daughter own and run the place and boy do they do an amazing job! Not just the pizza, order the meatballs they melt cheese on them and garnish with green onion! Highly recommend!

I feel like one of the best tests of any establishment's customer service is to see how they respond when things are not perfect. We picked up a pizza, and once we opened it, we realized it was not the one we ordered. After a quick call, they not only took care of the situation but also went above and beyond to make it right. I read the reviews, gave it a try, and it did not disappoint. The lady that took our order was really nice and helpful with recommendations. Her daughter was making the pizzas in the back and it really gave the feels of a family business. We ended up going with 2 large pizzas- 1 was half combo, half white chicken garlic, the other was half cheese, half Hawaiian. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. The crust was really good, not too thick or thin and had a nice little crunch. A couple mentions.white chicken garlic is my fave but I had a place where I used to live that I loved and it's hard to find something comparable. While this was good, I felt like it was missing something. Next time I go, I will ask to add onions and tomatoes, and that might just be it. Now, on the other hand- the Hawaiian pizza was fire! My kids don't normally eat Hawaiian but this one disappeared quickly. There were bacon bits on the top that just sent this over the edge, and actually I added those bacon bits to my white chicken garlic and that was a hit too. Pricing for everything was reasonable too. Anyway, I will definitely be back. Sorry i was late taking pics again.gotta get better about that. Lol. (The combo didn't even make the pics and the white chicken garlic has some olives from the combo)

This place used to be one of my favorites but since they changed ownership their customer service has gone downhill. They are never open and when they are they never answer phone calls. I called several times and when no one answered I drove by and all I saw was the kid sitting on the table on his phone. Hope his parents realize how much money and loyal customers they are losing. What a shame.
