My son told me about this place. His favorite place to eat. I am now a fan. Great everything!

First time experience and the sandwiches/tater salad was delish. Loved the atmosphere and customer service. Family and I will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu. ️

Good meat, good bread, fast service and good folks. If you get a sandwich anywhere else you're missing out. Prices are fantastic too

Nice atmosphere, better than I had predicted from outside. The menu had a large selection of sandwiches and I chose the Brisket Bánh Mi. It was delicious enough to discuss again the next day and plan my next visit to Max's. An overwhelming choice of chips that come with your sandwich. I'll be back!

Max's deli is an excellent place to get delicious sandwiches, choice of 4 or 5 soups and salad choices plus perfect sweet baked treats too. If you haven't eaten at Max's it's worth your time to go enjoy their delicious offerings

Best place to go for lunch hands down! You have to try it to experience it. My fav order is is the California on Sourdough. The sourdough bread is so soft and amazing, good portions and quality ingredients. Easy to order online too. The place is hopping but they are fast!

Very very good, clam chowder was Great with larger chunks of clam.
Got the California Reuben and I'll be getting that the next time for sure.this place is a great find.

I went there for take-away lunch, such a warm welcome by Max, the owner, so sweet and friendly. I ordered California Reuben. My oh my. It was the best Reuben sandwich I had. So so soft bread, fresh, juicy and just overload of Awesomeness. I can easily give them 6 stars. Loved it. And intending to keep going there. ️

The sandwiches here are very good, the cookies are excellent and the salads are phenomenal. Hands down the best salad I have ever had in my life.

What a fantastic find! I had the Brisket Banh Mi and it is delicious. Sweet and spicy wrapped in perfection. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Cookies, you must try the cookies! And don't forget your chips!

Max’s is bomb! Only complaint I have is they close before lunch is over. Wish they stayed open until 3, I’d eat there a lot more.

I love Max's. It is super easy to order and pick up a great sandwich. One of the main appeals is that it is very inexpensive. I much prefer going here than other chain sandwich shops.

Edited 2/6/22 - The best deli ever! I will be moving soon and there are only a handful of food places I will truly miss and Max's Deli is one of them. A true gem!

Max's Deli is AWESOME!

When I worked in Auburn, I pretty much ate here everyday! That's the only thing I miss about working in Auburn is getting to eat here all the time.

I try to stop by any chance I get. Their food is the best and the people are great!

Killer sandwiches, awesome quick service. Easy to order online. In fact, a lot of places need to check out how easy it is to order online. Apple bees you listening, your online order needs to be done by a regular person, not some IT guy, that thinks he is clever. Max runs a great tight ship, but Stephanie steers the boat. I go there often. My go to place.

My work put in a big sandwhich order recently and at least 5 of them were wrong, 2 of them had the wrong bread, 1 of them had cheese when no cheese was requested and one had the wrong cheese. One of my coworkers got an entirely different sandwich but he's not picky so he enjoyed it anyways. I couldn't eat my sandwich at all because it was on rye bread with cheese and I can't have dairy. So if you're putting in a big order check it ALL before you leave.

I have been going to Max's Deli for over a year and gotta tell you they got this sandwich business down! Phenomenal flavors, warm, friendly customer service from Max and his team, and quality food, from the sandwiches to the chili and potato salad. My go-to has always been the Brisket Banh Mi, sometimes with bacon, but they're all pretty amazing. Unfortunately open only during lunch hour from 10-2 and weekdays only, otherwise I'd be stopping by on weekends after trail runs. If you're in the Auburn area during lunch on a weekday, you won't want to miss a stop here!

Best sandwich I've had all year. The people here were great as well. All around great experience. I got the Californian and could not be more impressed.

The #50 is to die for! My boyfriend talks about this place every time he goes here. He took me here when I visited California and it was so good, I understand the hype now. Honestly, wouldn’t be surprised if he proposed to me here. Ricky loves his sandwiches.

Max’s consistently makes a great sandwich. You should eat here.
