The food is the best. BEST EVER! The servers were sincerely friendly and warm.it was so busy but they were serving with a beautiful smile, just as how filipinos are. The bathrooms are clean, good too. The atmosphere is very nice. I love it! Thank you, Max's Mira Mesa. Keep it up! You made my family feel extra special with your service.

I'm thrilled to add this Max’s Restaurant location in San Diego to my regular dining spots. Its service, ambiance, and food are absolutely top-notch, just like what I experienced at their Chula Vista location.

For those yet to experience Filipino cuisine, don’t miss out. Try it out today!

I particularly appreciate how their meals aren’t overly greasy or fried, a contrast to many Chinese dishes. It’s a healthier, more satisfying dining experience.

Moreover, this is a locally-owned business in Mira Mesa, not a corporate chain. Supporting local San Diego entrepreneurs feels great!

Having dined at two Max’s Restaurant locations in San Diego, I can confidently say that they maintain a high standard across their outlets.

Order now on their website or dine-in

Growing up, it was a treat to go to Max's and have their fried chicken. The fried chicken still taste just as good as it did then.

This was our first time here. We normally go to the one on Flamingo Rd in Las Vegas. All was good except that they didn’t serve BBQ on the stick? Minor thing. Jenny was super great, though she had forgotten to ask or refill our drinks, so we had to keep calling her for refills. However, she handled it all well and was sweet about it all and most of all, being respectful! The cool thing they have that Max Las Vegas needs is their sign in Kiosk! In Vegas, they lost track of who was next.

Cant believe this happened to me. Towards the end of our meal, I wanted to drink the calamansi juice I ordered. I saw this floating on my drink and its a freaking cockroach leg. If its not a cockroach, definitely bc an insects leg. Anyways, I brought it up to the lady and she took my drink. Came back and said its just a calamansi pulp. There is no way that is a pulp. I wish I can attach the video because its a lot more clear.

I will never come back to this place. Please please check on your food before you consume!

Visited on a Sunday for brunch. Wait time is fast and easy with the automated check-in upon arrival. First point of contact with our server felt pressured as she was taking our orders for drinks she just gave the option of their fruit juices (buko, etc) almost insisting we order them. Heads up they are not included with your meal, just another bolt-on that servers do. All we wanted was water to wash everything down on a warm day while cutting back on sugary drinks. Water refills came slowly but the food was delicious, flavorful and served fresh. The only issue is that the dishes do not come out together. Since we like to pray and give thanks for our gifts, we waited until we received everything from thy bounty even though the other dishes started to get cold. Also, the tables are a little too close together as well where you feel like the party next to you is part of yours.

Observing that they are short staffed, the service and smiles should remain consistent and always courteous especially at an “upper scale” style Filipino restaurant. Even the smaller turo-turo’s are always smiling and greeting you as soon as you walk in the door.

Again, the food was great, crispy pata and whole fried chicken were crisp not dry. The kare-kare actually had oxtail and their sisig is pretty authentic. They just need a minor adjustment on the service side since we Filipino’s are known for great hospitality and warm and friendly service which was not extended so generously during our visit.

Food was fresh, tasty and expertly made! Came on a random weekday for lunch for the first time ever. The workers were really nice, the ambience was new and clean, and most importantly, the food was amazing! The kare-kare was perefectly made. The fresh lumpia was flavored just right, and the wrapper was soft, and fresh! Also, their bangus was definitely fresh as well. The desserts were also delicious. We ordered halo-halo and the sago drink. Really enjoyed both. I could tell that they put extra effort into their halo-halo because it had soo many ingredients in it! Soo yummy! Will definitely come back!
