Maze Rooms reviews
17We had so much fun here! I've done about 20 escape rooms, and this was one of the best-designed I've done. We did They're Coming. Our gamemaster was enthusiastic and entertaining. The puzzles required a lot of lateral thinking. This one is probably too difficult for a first-timer, but should be fun for seasoned escapers. Highly recommend!
Had a great time in the Jack the Ripper room with my friends. It was a moderately hard room with some spooky moments. Our game master Kira was awesome!
So there are diff.levels of entertainment here. I chose the hardest one.
- It is hard level of common sense just that for some of us; common seems uncommon and the sense is simply prudence. It might just be testing ur IQ.: ]
Great work!
A nice place with a few options of scenarios. The dragons lair was fun with nicely designed puzzles that I would classify as moderate difficulty.
I did the Pharaoh and Jack the Ripper and me & my friends LOVED IT!
Slight preference toward Jack the Ripper that is very interesting and a even scary at the end!
Perfect idea for an original activity with your family and friends
The Dragon's Lair was a fun and somewhat challenging escape room for kids, it we did it in time!
Did "There coming" and it is really fun and challenging. I'm going to hear zombies all the time now. Highly recommend.
My group did They’re Coming and it was incredibly fun and well made, and Jon made it even more fun. Great rooms and great staff!
Did the zombie one and it was designed extremely well. Puzzles were a good mix of spatial and comprehension.
Loved the dragon room! We all had a blast; the puzzles were creative and fun to solve. Joy was our GM and was awesome.: •)
Friendly staff and interesting rooms. I was able to finish the Jack the Ripper with only 2 people and the zombie one with 3 (but of course with some tips). The staff is very good at giving leading tips without spelling out the answer, which helps to achieve a nice feeling of "we actually got this" by the end.
Gotta be honest: not my cup of tea. The dragon room had cool puzzles, but I feel like escape games should never be interrupted multiple times per game by the game master because some technical aspect either isn’t working or is finicky even though the group has completed each correct component, which was my group’s experience. If a room gets to that point, give it some TLC. I don’t know. Again, the puzzles were cool, but a little all over the place and not very intuitive as far as flow. After we did the dragon room, we went to another Maze Escape room (Motel) which was terrible. I was sadly disappointed in both. Both game masters were great and our experience was at no fault to them. They made both experiences much better actually. But overall, these rooms need some help. The scenic design of the dragon room was very well done though. A lot of artistry went into that one and it showed, so I do want to give props there where it’s due.
Great First time experience on a hard room "they're coming"
Game Masters were helpful and explained the rules perfectly.
Puzzles were just the right amount of difficult.
Have your eyes open and think outside the box. Definitely going to try the other rooms.
My first escape room and wow! Barely finished "they're coming" with about a minute and a half of time left. Had a blast and will definitely be looking out for more in the future. Especially appreciate being able to go as a small group or as just a pair, which is what I did.
My fiancee and I did the Jack The Ripper room; it was a lot of fun! In fact, immediately after finishing, we booked another room at the Santa Monica location to attempt a different room! Would definitely recommend, especially if you and your SO like puzzles!
AMAZING! To be honest, I've been solving puzzles and escape rooms online throughout the pandemic, and I was worried I wouldn't be challenged enough in an actual escape room - but this was definitely a great experience! The room design and all of the puzzles were like nothing I've done before. Our group of 4 escaped Dragon's Lair with ONE MINUTE to spare! I'm definitely coming back again to do the other rooms!
