McClain Cellars, Laguna Beach CA

Came here not knowing what to expect and had THEE BEST experience ever. Between the art, the wine, and the best part Juliana, the whole experience was an absolute delight. I don’t live near the area but I would make the 1.5 hour drive as much as possible so I could come here as often as possible. My cousin brought here (as a wine club member for the last three years) and now I understand why. Do yourself a favor and come check this place out.

If I can give McClain and Juliana 6 stars, I would. This place is filled with so much care and thoughtfulness. I met Juliana a few years ago when I joined as a wine club member and she and others are so welcoming. It has been an incredible experience getting to do complimentary monthly wine tastings, making connections with those who work at McClain and also people who I meet here along the way. Highly recommend if you love good stupid wine and good company.

Connor was amazing! McClain Cellars Laguna Beach is a must try. Great wines and very knowledge friendly wine ambassador!

Juliana is the BOMB, so knowledgeable and FUN! The wine I tried is delicious and so is the popcorn! Super fun night!

Cool hidden spot great wines. My wife loves wine I'm not big on wine but these were very good had to take some home. Recommend McLains to all

Amazing beyond words! Would highly recommend expert or novice! Juliana is passionate, an expert, she tailored our testings based on our preferences and knowledge. Wine is is exquisite, well priced and absolutely a game changer with friends and family. The passion the flavors evoke the passion for wine and community. Bravo!

Disappointing. Even though the staff was very welcoming and friendly, we didn't enjoy the wine at all, unfortunately.
UPDATE:
thank you for responding to my review and taking into consideration personal preferences. However, the wine tasted and smelled like a basement, which might be a sign of inappropriate storage environment. When we mentioned this to the staff, they just shrugged and tried to describe it as rich & smoky. Can't agree with this.

We went up to Laguna for the day while my mom was in town. After the traffic, the first thing we wanted to do was get some wine. We happened to come across this awesome little tasting room as our first stop AND ENDED UP STAYING FOR 3 HOURS! My wife and I visited the Solvang location not too long ago and absolutely loved it. Our wine-tender Juliana was absolutely incredible! So knowledge, fun and kind. We loved our wine and out time. We will definitely be back! We also happened to run into THOR who happened to help build the tasting room with his hammer. True story! Thanks McClain!

We stumbled upon this absolutely amazing wine tasting, with the BEST wine ambassador ever, Taylor! Not only was she unbelievably knowledgeable, she was fun, personable and so easy to talk with! She made the entire experience perfect!

Taylor took such good care us! The wine was consistently good! Can't wait to come back!
