McClatchy Park reviews
16 One of the absolute best playgrounds in Sacramento. A kids dream really.
My wife and I love it for the Skatepark too. The skatepark is well kept and has a nice flow to the design!
I love it here! I've been coming to this park for years. My kids now get to enjoy it. Great places for family get gatherings
Being that I am what you would call an OG of the Sacramento area ever since I moved up from Oakland CA. I have seen the best and the worst of McClatchy Park. I must say that the upgrades that they have done to the playground and by adding a skateboard park, was well needed and it made the park that has been around for centuries actually look a lot better, It now has a warming feeling to it.
Played a nice morning round of frisbee golf.awhile back. To my kid for the first time, she is toddler age Her and I had a wonderful time. The playground/jungle gym is quite large with some sections covered by sun screens rubber floor in some parts and the rest in small 1 in size wood mulch. Next to the playground is a water feature that many kids and adults will enjoy finding relief from Sacramentos summer heat from 12+ mister / sprayer heads. Found some great mushrooms Poppin up in the grass she was Very fascinated with them. Have not been to the pool yet. Will update about it soon.
Enjoyed my visit at the park. Praise in the park was great. Park was clean and safe everyone was friendly.
This is an awesome park for little ones. It has three play structures for different ages, swings, a splash pad, and city pool.
Great place to take kids for the pool the skate park and the wonderful playground. Two lighted basebal, l fields, basketball court, frisbee golf course
Went there and they had a band and activities and play ground for the children as well as face painting. Had a good time.
Nice Summer Events
There Glad to Attend & See Black Vendors Nice Time Out Visiting
Clean and fun for the smaller children. The water sprinklers are a plus! My kiddos enjoys this park over others.
McClatchy Park Haiku:
Quick walk with great sun,
Play fields are overwatered,
Though neighbors are parched.
It's a beautiful park with a lot of great play areas for kids. More unhoused than most other parks, but a beautiful park.
It was a fun time hanging with people I went to school.party.swimming.saking party.love my
Was nice and pleasant, people enjoying the nice weather. The bathrooms were clean, the playground was full of kids and their parent's having fun. The park is dog friendly also. I enjoyed myself and you will too.
There are a lot of great families that bring their children out. My kids have made many friends coming here, as this is our neighborhood park. I love the fact that there is a toddler side and a bigger kid side. The play structures challenge the kids physically which was especially nice for is after covid. There can be some more sketchy activity as there is a skate park also here but everyone is pretty respectful of the play area. Also there's a pool, we haven't been but it never looked crowded when it was open last summer. I believe they're is a baseball field and disc golf course also located within the park so really fun for the whole family.
This is a very nice park. Especially the baseball field. In excellent condition. My kids play baseball here at least once a week.
