Rebecca and her family has helped us with 3 of our beloved family members who have passed away. She and the McCormick “family” helped us through the hardest times of our lives. I HIGHLY recommend using their services when it’s your time to have things handled in a professional, yet compassionate way of going through the process. Rebecca handled everything and was always available for questions and the answers. We are forever grateful for them in our saddest part of our lives. Thank you Rebecca and the McCormick family for being there for us in our time of need. It really helped when we needed time to grieve instead of worrying about what needed to be done. Forever grateful.

Thank you so much for everything, i was even given the opportunity to view my son before the funeral. I am so happy with the services offered by Freddie, and staff. Everything was perfect, even including the day of burial at the cemetery. FATEMI, Shohrh

McCormick and Son supported us during the difficult time of our Mother's passing. They explained everything to us patiently and worked with us so that we could include certain steps of our Hindu rituals. They were quite flexible within reason and treated our Mother with the respect she deserved as we prayed for her soul to rest in peace.

McCormick and Son Mortuary has the most caring and dedicated staff especially Freddie. The day of my cousin Jennifer’s service we were all so nervous because we had never dealt with a loss so dear to us, we asked Freddie so many questions, and he had answers. I was amazed at the level of care, dedication, and extreme professionalism. It’s so important to have a high level of care and guidance. Lastly, the flower tribute offered to us was so special. I can’t say thank you enough.

This FAMILY-run Mortuary has been providing critical services to Orange County for almost 50 years now. Through all trials, Recessions, elections & pandemics, M & Sons Mortuary has not only survived, but has proven itself to be the most sustainable. And It continues to serve it's community with pride & care. NOT Corporate owned, grandchildren of the original McCormick family work in & carry on the family tradition of treating your loved ones with dignified care and respect. I've attended a Service at their on-site Chapel, and it was simply beautiful.

Mahalo! Mahalo! Mahalo!
I am BOTH an MD and and a Lawyer, A Hawaiian by birth and and California resident by choice. I recently attended a Wonderful Send Off (Funeral) for a Dear Friend. When I arrived I noticed and appreciated the attentive and caring Staff at the Mortuary. I assumed that the service would be a standard "cookie - cutter" gathering.
WOW! Was I surprised.
My First contact was a Gentleman named Michael. He donned a classic Blue Suit, Blue Wing Tip Shoes and Classy Festive Tie, that kept with a Traditional Hawaiian Theme that was perfect for this Send Off.
There was Live Streaming of the Send Off, a Video Production of my friends life, a reception (all at the Mortuary), and an Military Honor detail that brought tears to everyone.
I also learned that Michael personally stayed after the evening service to prepare my friend for transfer to Oahu, Hawaii the next day. Not ONLY did he prepare that portion, Michael personally delivered the casket for shipment to the airline as he told the Family he would.
One Word. Integrity.
Again, Mahalo

Having worked in the Health Care Profession (RN) 35 years I have seen and heard a lot. During the peak of the Pandemic (COVID19) I was getting use to being overwhelmed with Deaths and Mortuaries having slower than normal response times to transfer deceased patients. I thought that was in the past.
On a recent Sunday Morning I was notified a patient had died in our Laguna Hills facility. I followed procedure and noticed that an "arrangement" had been made with an OC funeral provider. I called that number several times and they did not answer. I was confused because certainly, similar to Fire Departments or 911 services Funeral Homes answer phones at all times of the day and night.
I was confused and have an obligation to have the deceased transferred away from our facility.
I called the closest Funeral Home next to me and explained the situation and ask for help. Very strangely, they said "if another facility has a planned arrangement we can't help you. "
Perplexed was I. Are not these people in the service industry.
In a panic and concerned I would be further let down I called McCormick Mortuary in Laguna Hills. I was connected to Erin McCormick and I shared what happened. She expressed concern and stated she would be happy to help transfer/recover our patient and be of any other service we or the grieving family may need.
I wrote this to show appreciation and comfort in knowing there are caring people in this world.
Thank you Erin and McCormick Mortuary.

First and foremost NO ONE wants to review a Mortuary. However, I felt compelled to do so. After reading the most recent reviews, I was hesitant in moving forward with McCormick Mortuary, but when I called (for a friend of mine, mind you I am NOT in charge, just helping). A man named Michael answered and was extremely helpful in making me feel comfortable and he educated me about many options and aspects of possible funeral services that I never even thought about. Michael was very straight forward about the services and costs involved. Never did i feel misled or being taken advantage of.
I have to state, I have no idea why the negative, mean posts were made. Michael and McCormicks are "Top-Tier"

We were in the process of selecting a mortuary/crematory for the unexpected passing of our 17-year-old daughter. Our assigned counselor, Karina, never once expressed any condolences for our loss. There were so many red flags yesterday as we tried multiple times to e-sign documents. As a health care professional, I had additional questions and concerns about their embalming requirements for a viewing. My call was escalated to Erin McCormick. I am disgusted and appalled, to say the very least, at the unprofessionalism and coldness that I received when speaking with Erin, who ended up apologizing for insulting me during the call. She too failed to express any sympathy for our loss. Erin McCormick is absolutely the flakiest, rudest, most unprofessional, and cold-hearted person I have ever met. It blows my mind that people in this business don't understand that a little compassion goes a long way. I cannot believe this awful place is still in business. This is an insult to injury. UPDATE - we discovered later today that McCormick and Son had already transferred our daughter's body from the coroner's office to their mortuary in Laguna Hills without our knowledge. Apparently, the transfer occurred yesterday, but we never received confirmation from Karina or anyone else at McCormick and Son even after making it very clear today that we did not want to move forward with their services. Unbelievable!

My Mother was brought in during covid, we understood and were patient. I was devasted losing my mother and longing to see her one last time. This mortuary ruined it for ALL of us! Her make up was horrible, they made her look dark simply because she was Hispanic! My mother was not dark! Not to mention they didn’t adjust her face as she spent 2 months in a freezer! That didn’t look anything like my beautiful mother!
You get what you pay for at this place! I’ll never use them! I will always pay top dollar and go to Forrest Lawn Mortuary in LB!

Honestly, in a time of sorrow, McCormick & Son goes above and beyond to comfort the family. They make the process easy and take care of all arrangements that a grieving family would need. I cannot say enough good things about the helpful staff, especially Michael and Stacie. Thank you all for taking care of my father.

If I could give this mortuary more stars I would. They made the experience of losing a loved one bearable with everything they did for us. Thank you McCormick family for taking such good care of us at such a sorrowful time.
