McDonald's, Coronado CA

These people work hard every time I’ve been here. Food’s almost always fresh, but sometimes they’ll be swamped and it goes by super slow in the drive thru. The service industry isn't the best especially when McDonalds restricts their workers from accepting tips. I appreciate the people at this location, I wish they got paid a little more for what they do.

Unfortunately this McDonald’s location can’t seem to get their act together.

The manager has been here a long time. I doubt it is all her fault. She can’t seem to hire good help. The owner is taking advantage of the fact that his location is on a military base with a captive audience. Which is rather sad and shameful.

Today I walk in for breakfast and the kiosk showed all drinks unavailable. I turned to ask an employee and saw that they have a sign that says “no drinks” on the register.

I’m not sure how this can be considered acceptable by the owner, or corporate.

If this place were not on base they would almost certainly be out of business.

If I were the manager I would quit and find a better location to manage.

Slowest McDonalds on Earth. Ive been here 3 times, Youll be lucky if you get through the drive through in less than 30mins.

Sat in drive thru for an hour. No lane available to just leave and forced to wait regardless. Drink machine not working, Only iced coffee or bottled water. At window, both employees were loud with complaints they closed at 9pm and the place is packed. Got my food at 2130. Under staffed, wrong hours posted, ineffective night manager. This place needs help!

Got really salty fries and a sprite that literally tasted like sparkling water. Did not realize until i was already off base and at home what am i supposed to do go back over 5$? Really bad just threw the “sprite or whatever it was away when i got home. Anytime i go at night around 10: 30 pm when i get off work you can tell they just don’t want to do their job. I’ll just wait to go to the McDonald’s by my house from now on.

Found out only after placing my order and paying that the frappe machine was down. About half of the breakfast menu options were unavailable.

Tried to tell everyone who had already ordered that they were not going to make the food that they had already paid for. I understand being busy but that was completely unprofessional and disrespectful. This McDonald's should be ashamed of itself for treating paying customers like this.

Can't go negative enough in the lack of service. No one at the register to take orders. Required self service, but no discounts for you doing their work. I go to a place for service, otherwise I would stay home.

Food was good. Service was great. And they seemed busy in there and we appreciated the fact they didn't get our order wrong. If we could tip, we would.

It's been two decades and McDonald's just keeps getting worse. Today's experience was the final straw. If you expect to be able to talk to a person when you walk in, you're mistaken. You have to order from one of the four kiosks, and today, only two of them were working. It's unsanitary to have to touch the same greasy menu that everyone else is touching, and the kiosks are slow and frustrating to use. They even have a one-second delay every time someone adds something to their cart. It took me four times as long to order through the kiosk as it would have if I had just talked to a person who could have navigated the system quickly.

Then, when I finished my order, the kiosk asked me for the table number. I had to waste more time walking around to find an empty table and input the number into the kiosk.

"Order 991". They called my number with all the food in the bag. Not on a tray as selected at the kiosk. The Kiosks asks if i was take out or dining in. I went and told them that the kiosk specifically said it would be taken to the very table I had to waste time to go find. All I got was "did you use the app? ". I simple said "nevermind" and took my food. I'm not going to further get upset with a kid being in charge for the piss poor corporate decision to automate customer service to a worthless system to save a buck to have better quarterly earnings. Nobody will care if that was my last time at this place, but here I'll leave my mark of the downward spiral disappointment McDonalds has become

Closed early. Before both posted time online and before posted time on door. They closed at midnight when the time posted on the door says 1am.

Actually the slowest McDonald’s I’ve ever been to. Dozens if people waiting with no idea how long it’ll take to provide food for people.

Worst McDonald's in America for sure. Wait time are crazy long. Really need more help.

DoorDash drivers are ordering HUGE orders in the drive thru. Make them go inside so fast food stays fast for the rest of us….

I think I've commented on this place before. It used to be IMO* The best running McDonald's. However, recently their services have been poor. They are running out of food and drink items, getting orders wrong, and is taking about as long if not longer than a typical fast food area. It's sad, because this location used to be great.

This locations needs to hire more employees for their mornings they jst cant keep up, ask for a iceed coffe and tastes like cold water with sugar,:/
