McNears Beach County Park reviews
18Fantastic picnic areas. Lots of space to play games, jog, walk, fish. Perfect for birthday parties, BBQ and various other parties and get together.
Right now the parking lot is under repair, the pool is closed and they removed one outdoor bathroom.
Ideally they could build a better public restroom. This place is beautiful, green areas are well maintained and is clean. One special area I really like is the natural amphitheatre looking surrender by palms trees.
Lovely park for a small picnic with family. They didn't have a playground etc but an opportunity to go near water and a boardwalk
Along with being one of the most cleanest and well kept. And parks in the area it is a great place to fish and also to take pictures of beautiful landscapes and beautiful sunsets
Awesome! Cute and personal. Very beautiful. Nice for a small walk or to appreciate the outdoor beauty. No access to picnic areas or snack bar so bring your own snacks
I read good reviews of the park and decided to head out there to take my kids, I wasn't impressed. The grounds are kept and it was clean but the water as my kids described was "murky and gross", there was garbage floating around. Though we made the best out of it and other people didn't seem to mind, my family and I were disappointed.
Nice family picnic park, we've been coming for more than a decade. The pool is closed due to pandemic, but the beach area, sprawling grass and fishing pier still open.
This is a hidden Gem, a great place to relax, bbq, and enjoy great quality time with family. (No dogs)
A gorgeous setting with ample room for distancing. A sweet escape from daily tasks, or from easy bay fog.
I am a kid but I am still smart enough to know that this is a great park. I live near by and go there practically everyday but I have to say that the pool is always "Closed for the season" Even in SUMMER. But still a great place especially with the beautiful ocean.
A beautiful park best for everyone. The public pool is open during summer. Surely everyone will come. Clean and well-kept.
Fun place to spend weekend or any day. Especially with the public pool operating during summer and clean grounds. Perfect for picnic and family gatherings
My very first visit was a very beautiful visitI can't imagine anything more Serene and more breathtaking then the backdrop of mcnear's Beach and Pier I recommend this place to anybody that is looking to have a good time barbecue swimming fishing whatever your heart desires
I recommend to anyone visit McNears beach park, very clean and well kept with lush green lawns beautiful trees with many picnic areas, bring the whole family for a picnic, or take someone special for a walk.
The park rangers are the nicest you will find
Good people good park
This the place that will enjoy the silence, and the beauty and it very perfect to take your family, pool in their and geat fishing place
$5 to enter, $5 to use the pool. Rocky at mid-tide level. Large grassy areas, some Adirondack chairs, picnic tables and benches, barbecues and hot coal disposal buckets, nice restrooms/changing rooms, excellent cement pier for fishing with cleaning station. The only downside is Canadian geese droppings are fairly abundant.
Update: on Aug 24th, 2019, the geese were gone and the grass areas were completely free of droppings!
Beautiful park area. Great for picnics and relaxing. Five dollars for parking.
Wish there was a no smoking enforcement.
Great park - specially for y county park. Perfect for a picnic/bbq party with friends and family. Nice pool for kids to splash around in. Not good as a lap pool - more of a rec pool.
Don't expect to go on hikes - none. Beach has a sand pit for kids - but no real wading area.
Lots of people fishing off of the pier (no license reqd for pier fishing).
