Dr. Meckel is the leading doctor for knee and hip replacement in Monterey. Consult with him and he gives you an honest assessment and doesn’t push you for surgery. He offers other options should surgery not be a first choice. He replaced my right hip and then three years later my left knee. The results were amazing and my recovery from both was mostly pain free. I may have been very lucky but I credit Dr Meckel and his team who really follow you from the moment you schedule surgery through the months after. It makes a huge difference.

Dr Michael was very attentive, listen to my issue with my hip and was very knowledgeable as to the next steps.

I found Dr. Meckle to be a doctor of integrity. He does not automatically rush a patient into surgery. He takes a more conservative route, prescribing the best treatment route for the patient, with surgery as an option only when absolutely necessary. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking a good orthopedic surgeon.

Today was my first encounter with Dr. Meckel. He demonstrated great understanding of my situation and clearly explained treatment options.
