A decent place to stop for a quiet and dark nights sleep. Right next to lake. Good Verizon coverage too.
Campground does need to spread out much more gravel as it turns into a mud hole when it rains. Also pit toilets need more servicing. Fix these issues and I would give it 5 stars.

Camp spots right on the forebay water. You can fish from your campsite. $10 entry and $20 camping fee

For people who like the outdoors and everything that comes with it, it's a nice place to relax. Staff has always been friendly and facilities are clean.

Used to camp here years ago. Visited family who had 2 trailers set up by the lake. They had a nice view of the lake. Scenery and backdrop was beautiful. $7.00 dollars for a day pass with senior discount. No hookups here. They do have restrooms here. No running water. The weather was beautiful, it was about mid-afternoon when the wind hit. I had forgotten how windy it gets here at Forebay. I'm talking about wind that stirs up a lot of dust and blows items off your table. We thankfully had trailers we could get away from the wind. It is a nice place to visit or camp if you have a trailer to get out of the wind

My dislike about this place is the price. $20 per night with no dump or fill station for RVs. No discounts for longer stays. The only facilities are porta toilets and plop toilets. There is a water tank but it has the park faucet designed so you can't easily connect to it. Nice views and all camps are on the water. Easy access to the town of Santa Nella.

Nice campground with no reservations needed, hardly any rangers ever drive by or other campers stay the night so you can enjoy yourself, swim, and relax

Definitely would return but you must like dry camping. First come first served but there's was enough spaces. Very quiet and peaceful.

This is a cool place to hang out
Except for the guy in the tent next to us
He was convinced by the other campers it would be better if he got a motel room
And then we all had a great time

Beautiful spot for overnight camping only 5 miles from Hwy. 5. Easy access. Primitive sites have Ramada's, grills and trash cans and are right on the lake. Chemical toilets. Have camped here twice in RV and enjoy the respite from Hwy 5 travel.

I bet rustic but seems to be lightly used at least when I was there in the offseason so lots of privacy. All the campsites seem to be right on The Waters edge which is pretty nice.

Go Monday maybe Tuesday for a private stay. Primitive campground next to water.
Great for an overnight stay. Cheap too.

So grateful to find this place. $20 camping anywhere on the 3-mile road around the lake, decently clean, pit bathrooms, garbage bins. Very kind and helpful entry/kiosk people. We arrived late (7pm), entry available until 10pm. Set up our tent for a windy nights sleep. Decently popular place with lots of people camping/rvs, swimming and fishing. Quiet other than wind. Wouldn’t recommend swimming with a bit of a funky smell coming from the water.

Great! Just check the wind forecast before you come so you know what you’re up against. Wind probably keeps the crowds down, just check first and enjoy!

Was here late February. Windy, no bugs or rattle snakes. Great off season place. Could use some TLC.

Cheap @ $20 per tent site, very friendly staffs.
1 additional car allowed for $10.
Spots with trees acting as shade.
Tables are available in most places but not all.

Lots of MoSqUiToS & AnTs. Please do not come without insect repellant solutions.
Windy however it’s an advantage during hot days of summer.
Small bbq grill available however no secured fire pit is available for fire.
Restrooms available without sinks or showers.
Very good place for sky gazing at night.

Last: everyone please clean all your areas before you leave, lets everyone participate in living in clean space.

Primitive campground with ramadas, fire rings, and tables, coveniently near I-5, on a reservoir. Most "bathrooms" are potaboties that are in very poor condition. They were bad last time we stayed there and worse this time.
