MedPost Urgent Care

I have been taking my daughter to this urgent care since she was three years old. The staff at the front desk are always nice and helpful. The doctors are caring and knowledgeable. The service is always provided in a timely manner; and the last time i took my daughter there, the doctor called me the next day to follow up and asked me how my daughter was feeling. They are amazing!

I had a bad experience at this MedPost on Carson and Cherry. The front desk receptionist, Yvette, was a pit bull.

I showed up on a Tuesday night with what I feared was a case of strep throat after confirming with my insurance provider that I was covered for the visit. Yvette takes my insurance card and runs it through her computer and, after two minutes, she looks at it and says “I’m sure your insurance card is real but I’m just not showing you as active. We will have to bill you for the visit and you would have to seek reimbursement from your insurance company for the costs. ” When I asked her how much that would be she said that it could between “$200 or higher depending on what they do”.

To me, that was the wrong thing to say to somebody seeking medical attention who has valid health insurance that covers the visit 100%. What she should’ve done was call the insurance company on my behalf to validate coverage. She didn’t do that. All she wanted to do was grab money from me.

I said to myself “to hell with this” and I left.

I went home that night without receiving medical attention and not knowing whether or not I might need to go to the emergency room that night because the receptionist was too lazy pick up the phone.

Visiting this clinic was an exercise in aggregation because I received thee worst service from this place. Go to your doctor or the emergency room. Do not come here. All they care about is money, not your health.

I'm always there. I love going there because I always get help on time and and the doc has a dog he's so sweet.

Took my daughter here and services were very fast. It was nice to have a doctor actually on site.

The environment was very clean and spaced out especially for the situation we’re all in. And the staff was very friendly and helpful with any questions I had. Cannot thank them enough for following up so quickly with me considering the tremendous strain on healthcare right now.

On Friday Dec 4th, I went into the Long Beach urgent care for a pulled muscle in my back and was told my wait would likely only be about 20 minutes because people weren't showing for their appointments and that one person was ahead of me. I was told to wait in my car due to COVID restrictions. Nearly two hours later, I called the front desk to ask how much longer I'd be waiting. The guy said a bunch of other people who ended up showing up for their appointments had been coming in so I still had to wait. I told him I'm in excruciating pain and have already been waiting two hours. I asked him why he told me it would be 20 minutes when there was a possibility that it would be longer. He kept repeating that he couldn't guarantee anything and kept interrupting me when I told him that I wasn't asking for a guarantee. I said that I would rather have the heads up that it might take two hours instead of being told "about twenty minutes. " This man had zero compassion for my pain levels and wouldn't apologize. If he'd let me know that it might take 2 hours to be seen, it wouldn't have been as big of an issue. It's the fact that he refused to care about my being in pain and gave me a much smaller time estimate than was reality.

Dr Schumacher is terrific and the whole place is uncrowded, clean, organized and friendly. I was impressed and glad I finally found an UC that doesn't give me the creeps.

Awesome receptionist and nursing staff, but the doctor that saw me was less than fantastic. Zyrtec and water do not help asthma attacks, in my personal experience.
Definitely recommend any other of the excellent Medposts in the area as I left here feeling unheard and $25 poorer. Lol.

This is my 2nd time coming to this Urgent Care office and I’m am beyond pleased with the fast, efficient & kind way I was treated. Today I didn’t have an appointment when I walked in that morning but thankfully it was early enough to get in. When I returned later on that afternoon, Rebecca, Gloria & Dr. Tabrizi got me together with the quickness! Thank you so very much.

Incredibly kind and helpful receptionist, and the doctor that saw me was very communicative and respectful.
I walked in without an appointment, and wound up being there for almost 2 hours, but I think that was my own fault. Aside from sort of slow nurses, everything was great.

My first time there (went due to being involved in a car accident) and was treated with friendly staff as well as a very friendly doctor. They explained everything to me, the process and the price. I left feeling happy that I went and knowing more about my condition.

Great experience here I arrived at 8: 20 on a Monday morning and was in my car by 9: 30.that included doing paperwork and st the end waiting on prescription paperwork.

Love this place for cleanliness, ease of appointments, doctors and staff are all very professional. In and out quickly!

The service was great the employees were very friendly it was no wait at all especially with the amount of people that work presents was impressed with the surrounding environment a really great spot to go to

The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful, courteous and well organized. I loved that the doctor came into the room and introduced himself informally, never calling himself “Dr. ”. It made me feel comfortable and at ease. This will become my go to location for any of my Urgent Care needs. I will be recommending this location to my friends and family.

I was in agony with a kidney stone; I was able to make an appointment online so I didn't have to wait. The doctor was so empathetic and listened to my concerns. He even brought in a therapy dog who gave me a gentle kiss! I felt compassion, and care while going through the worst pain of my life. Thank you, I can't tell you how much I appreciate your care on this day.

Staff was friendly and the doctor asked good questions to help with my personal health care needs. I didn’t feel like I was just a number.

The Doctor and all of the nurses were very friendly. They helped my daughter relax before receiving her stitches

Staff was friendly and efficient, Dr.was responsive to our needs and explained details including after care instructions thoroughly. An extra for me was the front counter staff was friendly, easy check in including appointment scheduling and office was nice and clean.

Didn't know what to expect since I have never been to an urgent care facility but found the staff to be very pleasant and professional and was able to see a doctor very quickly.
