Mehfil Indian Cuisine reviews
17Server was very kind and understanding. She customized some of the dishes as per our need. Tasty food. Very good and kind service.
As I entered the restaurant, the aroma of sizzling steak and fresh herbs immediately hit my nose, making my mouth water in anticipation. The decor was modern and chic, with soft lighting and comfortable seating that invited me to sit and relax.
The server approached me with a friendly smile and offered me a menu, explaining the daily specials and making recommendations. After perusing the menu, I decided on a juicy ribeye steak, cooked medium-rare, with a side of roasted garlic mashed potatoes and sautéed green beans.
As I waited for my meal, I sipped on a glass of red wine and admired the ambiance of the restaurant. Soft music played in the background, and the conversations of other diners created a pleasant hum of noise.
When my food arrived, I couldn't help but marvel at the presentation. The steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned, with a crispy sear on the outside and a juicy pink center. The mashed potatoes were smooth and creamy, with just the right amount of garlic flavor, and the green beans were tender yet crisp.
The flavors and textures of each dish were expertly balanced, and I savored every bite. As I ate, the server checked in on me, ensuring that my needs were met without being intrusive.
At the end of my meal, the server brought me a decadent chocolate cake for dessert, on the house. It was the perfect end to a wonderful dining experience, and I left the restaurant feeling satisfied and content. I knew I would be back soon to enjoy the food and hospitality once again.
Mehfil is great for dining in and Takeaway. The coconut chicken was delicious. The portions are really big. A hidden gem in SF!
Beyond amazing food! It smelled sooo good when we entered the restaurant. I’ve been to quite a few Indian restaurants and this has been by far the best one. Very friendly service as well! Will be back if I’m in San Francisco again.
The Kadai Paneer and garlic naan at this Indian restaurant were a flavor explosion in my mouth. The garlic naan was warm, crispy, soft and fluffy. Together, they made a perfect combination.
Not living up to its potential. I was served undercooked chicken, and when I told it to the waiter I was totally ignored. It was lunch hour so it seemed raking in money was more important than fixing a mistake.
Love the food and service, they are very nice and I eat here at least 2 times a week, my go to is chicken tikka masala with garlic nan. It’s amazing and the price is very affordable.
10/10 … awesome food, friendly service. Would come again.
Side note: I was the last customer that’s why the restaurant was empty.
My lunch go to take out place for Indian food when I'm in the city. The food is very tasty, inexpensive and you can even get a combination of entrees if you want for a little variety. The owners are really nice and very accommodating too.
This place has the best tikka masala lunch bowls for such a great price. And Gagana is always so helpful.
Mehfil is an awesome venue for authentic Indian food. I love the food so does my family. They always treat me like family. The people who own the place are sweeter than their mango lassie. Always a great experience and delicious food!
I visited close to their closing time, so I was one of just a couple people, but from the moment I walked in everyone was friendly and welcoming. Very attentive. I ordered garlic naan and veggie tiki masala and really, it was delicous. So fresh! Sometimes you can tell when a place doesn't use fresh veggies in those mixed vegetable dishes, but it was sooo so good. The sauce was savory and rich without being heavy. And all the veggies were cooked perfectly, while still retaining their texture and natural fibers. Better Indian food than I have had in a while. I'll for sure be back to try other things soon.
Have gotten their food three times now and it is delicious. Their lamb vindaloo is my favorite and the garlic Naan!
Sunny and his wife are lovely hosts - This is my go to place for daily chai (the days i come to work on FiDi). The food is amazing as well, especially with the background music of 80-90s Bollywood music:)
Must try!
Best Indian restaurant in San Francisco. Highly recommended. Food was great. Very pleasant environment.
Longtime favorite. A gem with great takeout lunch and nice people who operate. Recommend! Great tasting food.
I didn't like the atmosphere. Service was also average. Not lots of options were available. Charges are a bit higher side as per ambiance. I will probably not visit again.
