Great Park for a night of a variety of sports. They have a softball diamond as well. 2 tennis courts/ volleyball courts. Also basketball court and a skate park. On-site recreation room too.

I very much enjoy the tennis. It's also a very lovely place for kids to play basketball or skateboard

As me and my wife waited to do the walk-through of our brand new home nearby, we observed several drug deals occur.

As we watched, a vehicle would pull up into a parking lot, a scraggly Caucasian young man would emerge from the bleachers located deeper within the park near the eastern perimeter and lean down on the driver's side, pulling 'product' from his pockets and completing his business transaction.

In the 40 mins.we were parked there, we saw at least four transactions.

Fresno PD even swept into the parking lot during that time; the business-man & his partner (a male Hispanic), just disappeared back underneath the trees, unseen by the busy patrol officer, who quickly departed.

5 mins.later; back in business.

Our welcome to Fresno. I'm from So Cal, so none of what I saw was new or a shock.

My awareness is just INCREASED now.

Nice skate park, tennis courts, basketball court, and inside work area to study and even computers for public use.

Melody Park is a very fun place to hang out at. There’s plenty of space for you to play around. Although, it would’ve been five stars if they opened their restrooms on Sundays. My friends and I thought about walking to Shells (gas station was a 3-4 minute walk) and using their restroom.

Google: How was Melody Park?
Me: Ghetto as usual but it's the closest park to where I live.
Google: So what does that tell you about your neighborhood and your current living situation?
Me: Well played Google. Well played.
But at least they have a local church who runs the rec room brings some positive vibes and tries to keep it clean. We'll give em that.

Close to home. Skate park, basketball, computers, church volunteers help keep the computer center and activity room open.

Nice quiet okay park full of activity and things to do.has a activity center great for kids to go to.last time they had a free petting zoo and water slides.they also do movie night with the neighborhood too.has a nice place to ride your scooter up and down the ramps.i just don't like it when the skaters are rude and you was there first with the kids hours before they ever showed up and its in broad daylight too.but they make it seem like they own it and told my kids to go away.i was not in the mood to say anything so I let it go.some people especially a particular similar type of people I'm not gonna name names but they seem so full of themselves.or self entitled.its a public park anybody should be able to feel safe to go there.last time I took my kids to play there one of the kids started yelling at my kid and swearing about me.the mother. I straight up asked him what was he saying and thankfully his parents put him in his place.some kids just have zero manners I don't immediately blame the parents because sometimes the kids be problematic no matter how much you discipline them.enough of my rant.i only go to this park if it's empty in the day.if it's full then I don't bother.it gets pretty busy in the evening.its prolly one of the few parks that does have daily activities etc.
