Menlo Park Library

One of the worst managed libraries for sure. Came here twice both with my kids, and for both times we were not able to because of some random staffing shortages/training.

To the library staff: If you don't have enough staffing to support the neighborhood, I'd suggest just officially updating the hours so people won't waste their time coming here in the first place.

I've been to many libraries including Rincondo, Palo Alto downtown, Redwood city, Milpitas, Cupertino, San Mateo many times. And this is the only library which will have random closure because of staffing. So this is definitely not the norm for libraries.

Great library. Many books. Lots of activities for kids, teens and adults. Dedicated teen section.

A crown jewel. I absolutely love coming here, the grounds are relaxed and inviting.

Even though the library is starting to show its age a bit, it is still a fabulous asset.

Very nice, resourceful, and well-managed public library smack in the middle of a cute little park within Menlo Park, highly recommend!

I feel frustrated with this library’s hour system. Today when I went for the weekly reading hour, when they should be open, there is still a sign up that said closed. They need to be better at communicating with their patrons they’re going to be closed for training. There’s plenty of time Monday through Wednesday Training they shouldn’t lead the patrons on like this.
