Menlo Pointe Apartments reviews
5I've lived here for 7 years. The old manager was better on rent and stuff like that. But it is a very good place to stay
I applied for this apartment and they asked for a holding deposit before I was approved, and the there would be a fee if I rescinded my holding deposit. I thought that that sounded sketchy, but I was in a bit of a bind and wanted to move asap, so I paid.
They then proceeded to drag their feet on approving my application, asking for more and more information. They even reached out to my employer with a questionnaire about whether or not I work where I do, even I had provided paystubs. I got approved for 3 other apartments in this time and decided to go with one of them instead.
Don't waste your time unless you're absolutely sure this is the only apartment complex that will work for you.
This is a nice place. There will always be issues, and it seems like negative feedback takes the spotlight, as opposed to the many of this community I’ve met that enjoy living here as I do. The new management and ownership is doing a fantastic job. The renovations look and feel great, and maintenance is on Pointe (heh) in completion of work requests. The price is good for a 2-bedroom. The rental market in Chico is simply not the best - can’t blame the property for that! Staff in general is responsive and friendly to all inquiries I’ve had. 5 stars!
My boyfriend and I moved in two in a half years ago, and management was AWFUL. Which is why most of the reviews are so bad! Since then the new manager has made huge changes! She is amazing and on top of everything, always answers the phone or calls back immediately. The problems we did have she had maintenance fix within the hour we called! Any questions or concerns she answers very well.
The complex units are VERY spacious. Lots of families live here, as well as college students.most of the time everyone is super friendly. It is also pet friendly. Parking is first come first serve which we find very convenient, that way tenants guests don’t step on neighbors toes when visiting:). The only thing that would make these apartments AMAZING is if they had wash&dry inside each unit!
A lot of reviews also target the pricing of rent …. But anywhere in Chico is either MORE (for less) or the same price as other complexes.
Overall, the complex has taken a huge turn and we are very satisfied with our little home.
