Meridian Pointe Apartments, Northridge CA

This was our last resort we had no housing for my daughter who is going to school CSUN the apartment bathroom was not clean. It was filthy. The shower had mold in it. The smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector was going off for weeks before they resurface the shower without telling her she was supposed to have to be out of the shower for 24 hours, which turned into 48 hours which turned into now four days and then they tried to say that we told somebody she was contagious and that’s why they hadn’t fixed it. That was just an excuse for them not doing their job. This place is horrible. Do not rent this place.

0 Stars. This is by far the worst place I have rented at. Waste of money. Water is either cold or shut off! No warning either. The power goes out all the time but only in certain rooms! It’s not an actual outage! I’ve had to replace groceries that went out of temp due to no power multiple times! No reimbursement of any kind. Majority of employees that work here are extremely rude and don’t seem to have any knowledge in what they are doing. No security here, not a safe place to live. All doors are unlocked or propped open 24/7. Homeless are always surrounding the trashcans inside the “gated” property. The same tenants yelling / cussing at 4-5am! This lady always throws things in the middle of night and damages the property consistently. It’s extremely loud, not safe and nothing is ever done about it. This place is also extremely dirty and out of date. Trash left everywhere. No consistency among the property. It needs to be remodeled or shut down ASAP. Most units left on the property are unlivable. Imagine paying $2000 for no water or power for hoursss after a long day of school and work. Don’t waste your money like I have. Stay away!

I moved here from Texas for work and I was looking for something financially reasonable since I still had a mortal age in Texas. So I chose this place without reading the reviews…BIG MISTAKE. The front desk staff and maintenance staff are nice but this place is infested with roaches. I have put in multiple maintenance requests and the amount of roaches in and outside of the apartment continues to grow. EVERY TIME I walked into my apartment I either had to step on and/or spray for roaches. It was so bad one day that I chose to sleep in my car instead of in my bed. I am leaving the apartment prior to end of my lease because I cannot and will not live in an inhabitable environment such as this apartment complex. If I could give it 0 stars I would. I had to start taking photos and videos to prove to management that this place is infested with roaches. I tried to push through just because of the financial situation but I do not have a high tolerance for bugs. Again, the front desk and maintenance workers are friendly but this building is infested with roaches. Do not move here.

This place is pretty bad. When I first moved in the apartment was not fully clean and there was scraps under the mini fridge. If you put in a maintenance request for a certain day and time, they will completely disregard it until you have made it a huge issue. I have waited for over two weeks for someone to fix my garbage disposal and set up two appointments, which no one ever came to. I have had my water shut off 3 times since I first moved it and they give you a notice the day that they are turning it off. Completely pathetic in my opinion. The first few weeks I lived here I didn’t get a laundry card and had to go down the street to a laundromat nearby, which was expensive. The gym does not provide anything to wipe down your equipment, so it can only be assumed that it is unsanitary. The hot tub it looks like there is mold in it. The only reason I am still here is because I am on a lease.

At first things were going well when I went to go tour the place for somebody else, the staff was helpful when answering questions and the tour went smoothly. It was everything after the tour that was so frustrating. When my friend first applied, the application process was alright until they found out that they had missed some information on their application but they weren’t notified about that until my friend called them. There were emails exchanged just asking questions and for application updates but then as a couple days passed, M. P.stopped answering them. My friend emailed one of them and they just never answered and when my friend called and asked about the studio they were applying for, they said it was all taken and that they were first on this “waitlist”. Days pass and another studio opens up so they call the place and ask about it and my friend mentions that they were put on the waitlist but when talking to the worker, they didn’t even know about the waitlist. Then before their conversation ended, the worker said they would call the next day when the office opens, and guess what, they never called. I just don’t understand why they were telling my friend one thing and then another. Their lack of communication was so frustrating but I’m glad my friend found a different place to live at.

Okay the reason for the one star is simple. There's only one good manager here the rest are lousy. The apartments are filthy the roach infestation is wild and all apartments even my neighbors are having complaints. I didn't get my entire deposit because of the bedroom mirror that got broke that wasn't even my fault. It was fine before I left but when I came home I found it shattered on the floor and I immediately called maintenance and they've done nothing about it. I had my check coming from the state of California that was initial my first and middle name but gave my full last name when it was delivered I found out from my job that one of the manager sent it back because I supposedly didn't live there when my first and middle name was initialed and my last name wasn't. I try correcting the issue with my manager and she told me that I have to have my full first name and full last name otherwise it's going to get sent back even if the initial was correct and went to the correct address. All but one manager is lousy the maintenance guys are lousy and when you sit by the jacuzzi you can see and hear a bunch of rats when I went to my room I found one running through the hallway. If you want some advice on living here listen to all the two in one star reviews and take their advices what they're saying is all true this place is absolutely horrible.the only good thing about this place is it's very close to CSUN in Northridge Academy High.

This has to be one of the worst experiences that I have had when looking for apartments. When they try to get your business they will show you the best service then make you write a great review but after it goes all down hill. When applying here I delt with THREE DIFFERENT people because the last one "left the team". My credit was ran and I was approved and even got my lease and signed it. Excited to move in for the new semester I packed, requested time off to move, and expressed my excitement to many to get a CALL ON THE WAY TO RECIEVE MY KEYS SAYING IT WONT BE HAPPENING ANYMORE. When asking questions why no one could give me a answer me even the worker who WAS there was confused himself. There was entire day with no answer till we had to go in person to ask questions why. After everything my file seemed to "disappear" even though I gave a security deposit for my room, got my credit ran (dropped MANY POINTS), sent in bank statements, and pay stubs. ALL MY INFORMATION WAS SENT AND IT "DISAPPEARS" OUT OF THIN AIR. I am now asking for my security deposit but they have to ask to see if it is okay to send BACK MY SECURITY DEPOSIT FOR A ROOM FOR ALL I KNOW SOMEONE ELSE IS IN IT. THIS HAS BEEN THE WORSE EXPERINCE WITH ANY PLACE. I AM NOW STRESSED LOOKING FOR ANOTHER PLACE TO LIVE BECAUSE THERE IS ONLY TWO WEEKS TILL MY SEMESTER STARTS.

0 STARS! Water is ALWAYS COLD or shut off! Never a warning or notice! My electricity shut off 8 times this summer already! “Too many people are using the AC” was the response I got? In the middle of valley heat! A couple instances it lasted for 5+ hours with no electricity. They don’t care that you are spending $2,000+ for a room with no water and no electricity more than half the time. How is there no type of reimbursement? There is a never ending cycle of problems! Another issue, this place is truly disgusting! The stairwells and floor around the property are extremely sticky and people put their trash all over the common areas! For days no one picks it up, I’m talking full 12 gallon trash bags everywhere. Does no one clean up around here? The only place that is “clean” is the main lobby, for show! Don’t move here! It takes weeks for a problem to be fixed and on top of that they disregard your scheduled times, they just pop up whenever they feel like. This place is a SCAM to get young kids and their parents money.

They don't tell you when the water runs out in this building and there are a lot of cockroaches, there is no parking in the old building, it's not worth the trouble to come here

Lamarr and the leasing staff went above and beyond to find a unit that matched my budget and overall made this experience much easier.

Lamarr was extremely helpful in helping us find a new space for my roommate and I. I definitely felt like I was prioritized and taken care of.

From roaches and mosquittos to mold, Ive have experienced it all here. I wouldn't advice my enemy to live for.extremely overpriced for what is offered. Not to mention I was mislead out of my deposit and now they're trying to say i owe. Terrible place to live.
