Mesa Mercado reviews
16Upscale Mexican Restaurant. High quality and beautiful presentation. A bit pricy, but worth every bite!
Not my first visit. Always impressed. The vegan menu has me craving more every time. Amazing food, excellent service, comfy and festive atmosphere. Excellent bean dip. Love the homemade chips. Potato tacos. Everything is top-notch, and well worth the drive.
Great place for a Mexican meal with a menu that has a variety of dishes. I opted for the adobo de res, tangy with slight heat, the beef was super tender. Their fundito is pretty good too. One thing I love is the atmosphere, tons of decorations and color, feels very festive inside. Service was great too.
First time there. We all enjoyed our meals very much. Excellent presentation and atmosphere, and great service.
Just was not what we were thinking. Won’t be back. We did not realize chips and salsa gas to be purchased. Food was ok. I’ll keep going to el palmar!
Nice spot for mexican in Carmichael.we were greeted with a taster of mango sliced up, a nice change from the standard chips n salsa. Which are offered on the menu as an appitizer with 3 different kinds of salsa for only 4 $. We tried it & deemed the red salsa the best of the 3.
I came here craving Albondigas soup. So that was what I ordered, but several things were looking quite tasty to try. It was good. The meatballs were nice & broth was filled with nice veggies. I like a little heat in my Albondigas, but this was a good comfort food soup. I enjoyed it. Service was pleasant & suggested a cocktail for my husband. He tried a margarita served up almost like a martini style marg. He said it was refreshing & highlighted the mescal smokey flavor. He tried the Baramundi fish, which he said had a nice spice to it, and the fish was a firm white fish topped with a tapanade like crudo it was served with zucchini & rice. They have indoor & outdoor dining & share an open concept dining experience within a large space that house several dining facilities. Decorated brightly, the chairs are comfortable & bar is stocked with many different tequilas to try. The menu also has a good-sized vegan section & I would like to go back & try some other menu items soon. Gives a nice classy feel and upscale vibe.
Good service, great margaritas /drinks, good food! Delicious Mole. They also have a vegan menu. Stagf is always friendly and helpful. Stop by if you are in the area!
A friend of mine has been going here for a long time, and wanted to share this place with me. She and I have some dietary restrictions/allergies (for example dairy). They are very accommodating and work with you. This place opens at 11: 30am. They greeted us kindly and sat us down right away. We came when it opened. They served cut mangos with chili while we waited for our food. If they don't, just kindly ask. I got the carnitas plate with no cheese on the beans. They give you a choice of beans you would like. My friend got chile relleno with a side of raspberry sauce. My friend and I enjoyed our lunch portions. Even though it may not look like much in the photo, there was plenty of food for us that day!
Delicious margaritas and yummy happy hour. Try the tamarind chicken wings, they are sooo good. The service is always pretty good as well.
Romero is awesome. The food is great and so is the service. Good place to hang out after a long day at the office.
The shrimp tacos were perfect! My partner was a bit disappointed because they don’t have burritos on the menu and he said the portions were small, but other than that, it was great. A bit pricy. $65 for 2 entrees, guacamole and no drinks. The guacamole was delicious, but you have to mash it yourself. I worked at a Mexican restaurant for years in the past and we mashed the guac for customers. The decor is fantastic, the place is beautiful.
This is one of our go-to places for upscale, authentic Mexican food. Caldo de Res soup a fave. Plenty of free parking. Good margaritas and cerveza on tap.
I have never been disappointed at Mesa Mercado! The staff, food, drinks and atmosphere are always excellent. If you haven't been, what are you waiting for? You won't be disappointed.
Greedy. One star simply because, it is a rip-off. Takes away from what Mexican food is about - family. If you feed your family here expect $100 + bill. They also subsidize their wages by adding on kitchen gratuity without consent. Too many better places near by, if you like spending money, hey you’ll love it! A draft domestic beer is 16 Oz but is also $8. Small vegan menu but El Papagayo is walking distance to this spot and much better. No vegan or cashew cheeses or sauces. No tofu no impossible or beyond fusions. Just white rice with peas and carrots. Very small portions. The rice and beans were put into a condiment to-go cups. And it was $16 for two little “enchiladas” with sautéed veggies topped with enchilada sauce with no vegan cheese or guacamole. Chips and salsa are $4 per serving and none of the salsas are spicy. And they poured the very sour lime salsa on everything, leaving everything- one note. It was good, but across the street is Aztec restaurant with a bigger vegan menu and el papagayo is next door pretty much, both of those restaurants hook it up. And el papagayo has tofu and vegan cheeses. Wish I had a do over. Very friendly and hospitable servers. Decor is nice but let’s be real, you’re dining in an open space alongside a coffee shop, bakery, and other retail shops. Kinda like a food court, so I think bigger portions for the high $$$ should be expected considering this spot is a shared space with like ten other businesses.
The food was so much better than I thought it would be highly recommend the steak and enchilada dinner
