Mesa Verde Restaurant reviews
16Staff was amazing and friendly but food was chunky and not as easy to enjoy as you would expect for the price. Unless everyone else has giant mouthes some bite size pieces of lettuce are always appreciated.
Mesa Verde more like messy verde. Vegan friendly but not people friendly. Hesitate to mention race but we are Asian. Brought my parents and it was open seating. Waited for awhile to be serviced. And this waitress with glasses had the audacity to walk straight pass us to a table that was seated right AFTER us. After witnessing this we stormed right out. Went to the Boathouse atHendrys beach right down the street! Highly recommend
Great food this time! I’ve tried this place before but it was really busy that time and food was just okay I couldn’t even remember what I ordered. This time this place nailed it with their food! I loved the fettuccine alfredo, it’s so hard to find dairy free entrees and this completely vegan place did a great job! And the baklava was also delicious!
So good! Everyone was so kind and they gave us free dessert for my partner’s birthday:) great vegan food and wonderful atmosphere, you will feel very good after eating here
Came here with my boyfriend a few days ago and the experience left much to be desired. I'll only write a review for an extremely good or bad experience and unfortunately this was on the worser end. We wanted to love this restaurant but too many concerns were raised to return. First, one of the more senior waitresses was overtly displeased that we were even eating there. She was incredibly angry any time something would be asked of her. The second I mentioned food allergies she was rolling her eyes while the other one tried very sweetly to help us. Then- again the more senior waitress - tried to charge us more for a plate without even disclosing that information. When I noticed it after paying the management had to come out to help and the displeased worker sneered that the owner was being nice for taking money off (for us to buy less food) and that we were being charged a mere $3 extra for local vegetables because they are so much more expensive - we just decided to go without the $16 hummus. But more importantly the food was pretty basic and my boyfriend unfortunately became ill from the food mainly he thinks because it was so oily and cooked in so much soy sauce.:/ I also had some of his food and it was likely cooked in highly processed vegetable/seed oils though I did not ask so I can't be sure. Hardly worth the $60.00+ we ended up paying for two dishes. My "California" salad was also supposed to come with many other vegetables and was only delivered to me with lettuce, avocado, dill, and vinaigrette.ps: ($21.00) for that.
This place doesn't really deserve it, but a few of the people were so sweet I want to mention it. The owner and the management woman were very kind and so was the newer waitress helping us. I wish the quality of the food and the overall experience matched. The only redeeming quality of the food was the corn tortilla, that was very good.
We love vegan food but were very disappointed by Mesa Verde and wouldn’t recommend it (based on food, pricing, and ambiance). The food was unfortunately just not good, and very overpriced for the quality ($27 for a burrito, when you can get a much better vegan burrito across the street at Super Cucas for $7).
Connie took care of us and, while she was apologetic about the "delay", I felt like our orders were taken care of in a prompt manner. A star deducted because the polenta fries were insipid, but otherwise, my Impossible Burrito was impossibly delicious.
Food was solid, great service. Prices are high for what the dishes are, and they reuse a lot of ingredients so the menu feels smaller than it looks. The grilled cheese was delicious.
Excellent vegan food. Original dishes. Try the green plant bowl. Very good hearty soup. Yummy flatbread
This place is delicious got jackfruit tacos, best I've ever had no kidding.the deserts are also delicious wish they were in slo.
Mediocre food, high price, service was OK. For a vegetarian restaurant, I was very disappointed. The price did not justify the quality of the food.
I have been a vegetarian for 55 years, I know how to cook and appreciate good vegetarian food. The food was average vegetarian, nothing noteworthy, or outstanding.
Outstanding vegan entrees.my favorite are their quesadillas! Unbelievably delicious and tasty. We drove all the way from Paso Robles to enjoy them again on our California road trip odyssey. Love the very cool ambiance and vibe and their wait staff were fantastic -Callie and Kenny win the prize for hospitality, great service and professionalism. Can't wait to be back with y'all again!
Charged me $15 for beans and rice, flavorless overpriced pretetntious hipster food. The portain was for a baby. It's a miracle this place is still around. Save your money. This place is trash.
Huge disappointment. I was really looking forward to dining here after reading the reviews and seeing that they even have a Michelin star. We sat down at lunch time and the prices were VERY high given the fact that we were looking at pretty basic sandwiches, bowls and tacos. But the hype was real. We ordered the Fried mushrooms sandwich ($27) and polenta fries ($20). The fries were absolutely tasteless and dry! But we were hungry, and they were at least edible. They were served with beans and zucchini on top that just did not make any sense and also tasted spoiled. I’m sorry to say that the mushroom sandwich was horrendous. It had some brown sauce in it that tasted very bitter. It came with a side of plain roasted potatoes. Maybe the chef or someone was having a bad day but I will never be returning. I’m from LA where there’s plenty of upscale/fine dining vegan restaurants with justifiable prices and excellent taste.
Une belle expérience culinaire végan.
