Metro City Restaurant & Bar, Sunnyvale CA

I used to go here all the time before the pandemic. I just went, and the food wasn't as good. Don't get me wrong, it was still good, just not what I remember. Their beer selection is smallish, but all local beers.

They have a server named Sabrina, who is wonderful! She's very nice and always takes care of me. She knows what I like to drink and brings it to me without asking. I've tried several of their dishes, and I can't complain.

The morning server was rude (white shoulder length hai)
She shouldn't work attending customers. Will not going back or recommend that place if she's working there.

I ordered buffalo cauliflower for takeout via their website during late afternoon when they were not at all busy (I think I was the only takeout order at the time, so none to confuse me with). They gave me buffalo chicken, which I couldn’t eat because I’m vegetarian. I couldn’t tell until I got home because the container was a reasonable size and weight for what I ordered, it just happened to be the wrong fried thing.

Normally I wouldn’t give two stars for a mixup, but this was just so completely wrong and during a time when they were essentially empty, so it just kind of feels like they weren’t paying attention. Also, giving meat instead of a vegetarian dish probably guarantees food waste for a lot of people.

Great bar / restaurant with an amazing happy hour and a large selection of bar food.

I came in on a Thursday and had a few $6 Manhattans during happy hour and got the gyro platter app, everything was great.

They have a couple TVs inside by the bar playing some games, good spot to come after work.

I came here to meetup with a friend for lunch, and I was unsure what to order so I ordered the meatball sandwich. It was wack! There was no meatballs in sight. The "meatball" was more like sloppy joes in marinara sauce. The taste was ok, but I was thinking I was getting a meatball sandwich, not a sloppy joe, so there was nothing to bite into really. I don't like to be bamboozled and sold something that's not as advertised. They should sell sloppy joes, not meatball sandwiches. There was a server named Jay that was awesome and had excellent customer service, so he kinda saved the day. I'll be back to try something else on the menu because other dishes looked good and the flavor wasn't bad.

Norma is the best every time me and my family and I go there. She always takes good care of us.

Outside seating near the farmers market on Saturdays adds to the already great atmosphere. Delicious food, especially brunch options. Have been here a few times and had their omelette, Nutella French toast, home style fries. Surprised by great quality of coffee too.

Great place that serves breakfast all day. Omelettes are the best. Nice place to eat outside. I definitely will be back soon.

Nice place to hang out with friends and family, the food is good, the drinks too, the service of the staff is also good, I recommend it!

Visiting from Minnesota and we stopped for dinner after a busy day. Quiet night, but excellent friendly service and the food was all incredible!
Amazing burgers, fries, country potatoes, onion rings, and Oreo pancakes (kids loved them!), too!

Highly recommend and we hope to get back sometime!

Fabulous Flavio and Dapper Don have been coming here for years and we would like to finally say THANK YOU, to you and your team for providing such great service and consistent delicious comfort food. Metro has been our to go to for the best Eggs Benedict ever in Sunnyvale, and the oh-so-divine MC Burger, wow, wow, wow - even at 830 on a Sunday morning! Hands down, the best eats!
