Metro Hotel & Cafe reviews
18I loved my stay at the Metro Hotel. Not only do the perfectly capture the spirit of a country inn in France, but they really did an amazing job with pre-Halloween decorations! Though it's an older building, the hotel is spotless clean, the rooms are well sized, and I was greeted in the morning by the amazing aromas of fresh made crepes and coffee. This is really a fun and special place.
Metro Hotel is a fabulous place to stay in Petaluma. Terrific vibe, very clean and comfortable rooms, convenient location and friendly service.
Girl’s weekend! HS reunion! The Metro did not disappoint! We stayed in the cottage and it was a perfect experience! It was fully equipped with everything you could need, including a private patio! The beds were cozy with down pillows and blankets! The breakfast bar with, crepes, eggs, coffee, and tea mimics your quintessential Paris Café! The Halloween decorations were unique and elaborate! We loved everything about it! Highly recommend!
Ahh the metro, french chic comfort good vibes, good spirits, one of those places that you can’t quite put your finger on it but it feels good.
Romantic picnics and walks thru Petaluma. Fine dining just the right walking distance away. Movies and music. Perfect distance to the city, zillions of wineries and the stunning coast. I miss the comfort they created. The coffee is the tastiest anywhere and this is coffee land. French bistro cafe. You can have boring big hotel opulence that lacks any soul. This is soulfully abundant. I recommend the “Metro” wholeheartedly!
Me and my husband came here for our anniversary. It was exactly what we were looking for. The owner marie was super nice and welcoming. They go all out for Halloween they were setting up when we got there would love to see what it look likes when it's all done. If your looking for a cute unique place to stay in Petaluma this would be the place to stay!
Excellent location, friendly staff and clean accommodations. Stayed in one of the Airstream rooms and it was an excellent experience that was unique and a lot of fun. As a bonus, the crepes for breakfast were excellent. If you are looking for a unique experience definitely worth considering!
Adorable, funky hotel close to downtown Petaluma - have stayed here multiple times, and always found more reasons to return. Great location if you're going to a show at the Mystic Theater - easy walking distance
It’s fine, but know before you reserve: they will not budge with the 3 PM check in time. It is unstaffed between like 11-3. So, no one will answer the phone during that time or be there to even take your bags so you can get them out of the rental car and hopefully avoid the smash and grab break ins happening all over CA.
Also, the business number is apparently someone’s personal cell phone, so I guess don’t be confused when you call and inevitably get a voicemail message completely unattached to the hotel.
It sucks but this is why people go to the chain places.
This is a unique little hotel located close to most everything in Petaluma. It has a French theme and the rooms are decorated nicely. I was on the second floor (took stairs up, did not see any elevator), and the room had a huge TV mounted on the wall. The bathroom had a claw tub, which was tall and very narrow at the bottom. This could pose a problem for someone with mobility issues, so keep that in mind. There was breakfast served each morning, which included crepes, and they were very good. I probably wouldn't recommend this place if you have small children. Overall cool theme and the staff was friendly.
We stayed in one of the actual rooms and we loved it! We had two queen beds but if you’re a family staying here you might be put off by the bathroom because the bathroom is just one big room, with nothing separating the shower, toilet, and sink so the floor kind of stays wet after you shower but it wasn’t an issue for us. We thought it was very unique and cool. Tv have all the apps you need to watch anything. Beds were comfy. Decor is really cool and unique. Breakfast was amazing, the crepes were delicious and pasteurized were good as well! Espresso was good too! He has bikes you can rent for $10 for the guests! I would definitely stay here again, next time for more nights than just 1. It was such a cool place with great service and atmosphere!
What a wonderful, slightly quirky hotel! I’m already imagining reasons to return to Petaluma: this unique hotel, fun nearby restaurants, the river, roses in the nearby park….
We stayed in the airstream Bambie trailer and really enjoyed the expierence. Staff was super nice and welcoming. Hotel and outside area was well maintained and clean. Great place to stay we highly recomend this Hotel.
Love, love Metro Hotel! Forget your Hilton and Marriott points. Stay here! Crepes in the morning, perfect location, and nice people!
10 out of 5! Such a great experience. Very convenient double rooms for those traveling with kids. Clean and with great attention to every detail. Also the best hotel breakfast with crepes and pastries.
What an amazing treat! It's like stepping back in time France. Every little detail is totally charming and the beds and linens are so comfortable. The breakfast of freshly made crepes it the charming cafe was delicious. I would highly recommend the Metro Hotel and plan to come again.
I have stopped at this charming locale and have never been less than pleased by the accommodations and the helpful attitude of the staff. My first pick for a stay in Petaluma.
Lovely boutique hotel in a cute quiet neighborhood just outside downtown Petaluma. The rooms are not big but they are nicely decorated. On the first floor they have a breakfast room which also has some outdoor tables. The breakfast was nothing to rave about, crepes (from a package), fruit, Nutella, honey and coffee/tea. The hotel has parking.
Super cute With a cool Peraluma Vibe. Bright airy rooms with a Laid back Inn feel. Owner gave us all kinds of extras and they have bikes for a great price. My girlfriend and I had so much fun riding around the city. We had everything we needed and more. Loved sitting on patio and breakfast was spectacular! Would definitely come back.
