The super quesadillas are so good and so filling! The baked goods are also large and yummy.

Terrible service, terrible wait times. Are you looking to wait 45 minutes plus for food? After waiting and waiting, would you like to have your order forgotten about? If yes, then this place is great. I was wondering why one customer was angrily pestering the staff about their order, I guess this is why. You have to constantly remind them that you have an order, all while watching others who place their orders after you get their food promptly. I politely asked for a refund, which they promptly gave it, which is positive I guess.

Great little spot in downtown San Jose. Their breakfast burritos and pan dulce are great. They definitely do not skimp on portion sizes. Plenty to eat with each order.

By far the best torta I have ever had. Asada was generous full of flavor and well balanced. Pricey but worth it. It’s huge and you’ll eat it all because you can’t stop

This is a true Mexican bakery that has everything cooked to order in front of you! It's a small location but worth the wait! We were lucky enough that only a couple of people were in front of us when we drove up because we had seen a line earlier and came back.
I ordered a breakfast torta that really could be for two people
It was sooo good and I also ordered some fresh bread and had them toast it with butter with coffee. It was great

Got recommended this place to try the Tortas, and let me say I wasn't let down. Best torta I've had in a while by far. Will be returning and telling other friends and family.

So yummy. Traditional Mexican food. I love the tortas. It is small inside but located in downtown and staff is always nice.

1st time coming to mexico bakery.its a small space with limited seating.to compensate for this is the food that's great tasting and satisfying. I would definitely come back for takeout food. I definitely recommend!?

I wandered into Mexico Bakery in 2011 after moving our office to around the corner. I utterly love that place. Been going ever since. Great tortas, breakfast food, and pasteles. I especially loved lunch and world cup broadcasts there. The people are just the best. [Chef's kiss] Drove TO downtown this morning for a burrito.

Classic! Been coming here for over a decade. Area is definitely a little rundown but looks like a lot of construction going on. Delicious! Fresh! Best torta in town.

It's called Mexico Bakery because it's has a plethora of goodies for your eyes and stomach to feast on. From the classic pink and white pan to slices of chocolate cakes and whatever else you can think of. Don't be fooled by the name though, there is a taqueria inside too! I usually grab two super tacos and I'm good for lunch or dinner depends on if I grab them on my lunch break or after getting off work. Great place, excellent value and super friendly staff! Truly a hidden gem to grub in DTSJ.

I come here a couple times a month for snacks, pan dulce and jugos. The vampiro drink is great as it is a healthy juice and is made here. I have ordered some pan dulce here and they are infrequently soft and hard, depending on the day it seems. Overall amicable staff and clean establishment.

Food took a little bit to wait for but it was well worth the wait. Can't wait to get back for some delicious sopes. Yum yum

First time stopping by here, ordered 3 tacos de pollo, the tacos were delicious. Next time will definitely pick up some bread:)

Great breakfast burrito, freshly made, good ingredients. The staff are courteous, and the vibe was right. I'll be back again to test out the rest of the menu.
