Mi Tierra Super Taco reviews
14Authentic homemade-style Mexican restaurant. Try the Birria de Res, Caldo de Res, and Horchata. The service is excellent, and the atmosphere is chill. A San Diego Treasure, pass it on
Ordered the fajitas which includes beans, rice, cilantro, guac and homemade tortillas. Truth be told, the food was very average - nothing memorable. However, the fresh handmade tortillas are some of the best I’ve ever had. Also, the service was stellar. I would try it again but would order something else.
The food was pretty good. A little bland to me, but with salsa, it was good enough.
The woman server was very nice and friendly to us!
The shrimp was nice and soft, the tortillas de maiz were really soft and I liked it a lot. The Horchata was hand made and tested good as well.
Food quality went down and price went up, salsa is still though. Sadly not as good as it was 3 or 4 years ago. And i don't eat it regularly either
I ordered cheese enchiladas combo. The rice was stale and they skimped on the cheese. Very disappointed.
This place is so great. My cousin called them and ask what time they closed. They closed at 930 but as long as someone was there before they closed they would still serve us even if a few came in late. We were a group of over 20 people. I would recommend this place to everyone that goes to San Diego. The food was really good as well.
We are from out-of-town and we’re looking for something to eat close to our Airbnb. You fit the bill. I had the mole con pollo. It was delicious. Your refried beans are the best I have had. Love the taste and texture. The chicken was soft and juicy and the mole was so flavorful! I enjoyed every bite. The woman behind the counter was friendly and made us feel welcome. Glad we stopped in!
I've been there many times, but the last 2 times the Carne asada was not good was like old meat.
I don't think be going there again.
Sad about it.
Started eating here in the 80's. Still very fresh, rich, charbroiled flavors. Gracious server gave delightful sample of unique, flavorful, hearty salsa. Happy they are holding to traditional quality of rich meats, spices, and gracious service!
Got carne asada fries and a beef chimi. Pretty standard in flavor, however quality of beef was subpar. A quarter of all my meat was chewy fat and gristle rendering my meal essentially inedible. Red salsa was more paste than drizzling sauce. Most baffling fact is how they assembled fries with cheese being the final topping before being melted on top of the guac- you read that correct as the build was fries, meat, sour cream, guac, THAN cheese. But the naked fries were the best part.
Chimi wasn't anything special in its own right.
I'd go back, but I'm honestly wary. There are definitely better places.
We were from out of town looking for a nice place to sit and eat. This place was order from the counter. Food was good, no complaints at all. So many restaurants were closed so we had to go here. Great counter service.
I had a desire for carne asada! All cut up! I put butter on the flour tortilla and rolled it into a long delicious tube! Then I ate the onions, guacamole, beans, cilantro and rice in a big pile and enjoyed every mouth full!
Food is delicious but the place needs an upgrade, and there is no service st.the table, you have to order and pay then sit and go back and.pick up your food when it's ready.
