Dr Komin and Janet are kind. However, something is wrong when tests are not assessed and and a care plan not implemented. Staff are rude and abusive. They wonder why I respond in kind. Tell office person upfront gasX may help! Lol

New review /Update:
Speaking up about bad practices and policies works. As now the service has changed and is better. Phone people actually answer the phone now instead of never answering.
And the staff is more professional handles things well.
Good job turning it around.
Feedback is an ongoing process, communicate and try to work things out.

Old review:

Rude. Unprofessional.
Personal opinion gets in the way of doing the right thing. You think we don't notice, we do.
Refusing to renew medications, why?
Do better, less judgement and more service, that's YOUR JOB.
I'd leave specifics but don't want retaliation, still I know there will likely be retaliation, so be it.

I am very grateful for Dr. Komin. He respects parents & their desire to make certain choices. He is open & shares his views & medical insights on things but never does so in a condescending way. We drive from Bakersfield to see him for my two toddlers because frankly, pediatrics have gone downhill everywhere. Thank you Dr. Komin!

Usually I have great experiences here, though I’ve never actually seen Dr. Komin until yesterday. It was awful. He didn’t know medical terminology we were using even after explaining what they were, he didn’t know how to help us set up a medical procedure and refused to help us find the resources to do it, he refused to answer my one simple question, and he was extremely condescending the ENTIRE conversation. Eventually he refused to see us, all because I wanted to know if they could give my partner fluids as she has been extremely dehydrated for over a week. Aside from him, his nurse also was uncommunicative and gave us medication in a shot form without telling us what it was, why, or that there was going to be a shot happening, I am BAFFLED at this experience. NP Hayley Tracey is amazing but unfortunately my family and extended family is going to be switching providers now. The medical board will be contacted in case other families have gone though this experience.

I drive 40 miles just to receive care from Dr Komin. That's how good of a physician I feel he is. It's his receptionist staff that is so rude. Bad enough to raise my blood pressure before being seen. A new person I'd never seen before, and I have to go in once every month. For someone, like myself who has mental illness issues, it was quite triggering today for me. And, it lasted until I got out of the parking lot to go home. Having to take time just to go see a doctor, isn't a favorite for most people. Add the rudeness from a receptionist's, so called welcome, isn't a perk to ones well being either. I don't want to find another doctor, but I sure as hell won't keep my mouth shut, if it happens again. And, if it does, I will take it personal. Because my name will be shown and the review be made public, I will consider it discrimination. I already feel like it was anyways. Attitude, for no good reason, should not be tolerated in a place that is nesessary to visit, for ones betterment.
