Michaels, Long Beach CA

This was my first visit to this location and it will be a memorable one. First of all, I was impressed at the cleanliness of the store, not that their other locations aren't clean, this one has spacious aisles which allows easy passing of those browsing. I found the grosgrain ribbon I wanted for my project and decided to browse when I realized someone was speaking to me, another customer was asking for my opinion on matching a ribbon to a t-shirt design she had and it turns out I have that picture from the shirt in a locket I was wearing, as well as the picture mounted and framed in my home from the artist Tim Okamura. It was an uncanny meeting for sure and it happened in Michaels. Great customer service, too.

I love this store they have alot more than other Michaels and the staff is very helpful and polite

Easy to find and lots of parking located inside Long Beach Towne Center. The staff are always very kind and helpful at this location. Almost always stocked completely with good flow to the store.

The picture framing Dept is great. Low price, good quality and very attentive service personnel’s.

Zero stars to this place in customer service. They're very rude and unprofessional from the manager to the clerk. As an artist this used to be my favorite local store, not anymore. I rather drive an extra mile for good customer service. Never coming back here.

Super busy for a Saturday night, but I popped in anyway for a couple of new pencil cases for my makeup project I have been working on. The whole store inspired me to draw, sew, paint, and organize my stuff in a million new ways. I did have to wait in line to check out, but the impulse chotzky items displayed kept me occupied while I waited for my turn. The cashier was friendly and bantered with me a little bit. She offered to scan a coupon for me so I could save an extra 20 percent, but it was already scanned and invalid. It was a generous gesture and I appreciated the kindness though the discount was not applied. I love going to Michael's because it reminds me of my mom and it sparks new creative brain synapses that I sometimes neglect because of my analytic bent. Plus this shopping plaza as a whole is pretty flipping awesome. Way to go, Michael's of Long Beach.

So many artists supplies. Plenty of ready made frames, and custom framing available.

After searching online for red fabric, which no one seems to have in store, I ran across Michael's. They had an assorted set of fabric pieces about 1/2 of yard of each for a pretty decent price. I only needed red, but I figured I could use the others at some point. So I pay online and wait for the text to come pick up in store. What seemed like all day (about 5 hours later) I get the notification. It wasn't that far of a drive, 10 mi, but because a car over turned on the fwy (I pray everyone was ok) my trip took way longer than it should have. I get there about 30 to 40 min before they close, and since it's my first time at this store, I'm a little lost on where to go, but I find my way. After getting someone to assist me, she pulls out this very sad looking roll of sea foam green. But that was it! I thought I was going nuts. I checked my order and went back to their website to see if maybe I read the description wrong. Nope. The manager was called over and he apologized. I followed him over to where the fabrics were, just to be let down again. Barely anything was there. I do understand. But if that was the case, why not just tell me that the item the wasn't in stock. Instead of having me waste my time and gas to pick up an order that wasn't even there. At least I got my money refunded. On a brighter note, their store was clean and organized and they did have on masks and followed the social distancing rules.

Went in with a 20% coupon for in store and online purchases. Some exclusions apply. Didn't recieved discount and was told it was a Great Buy. When asked how would I know it was a great buy, was told they didn't know. SMH! SHAME ON MICHAEL'S

Great place to shop. They usually have anything you need to complete whatever project you are working on.

I love this store! Always has what I need and in stock, usually. Great for the crafter and teachers like me.

I'm not a true crafter, but I shop Michael's for dry or silk flowers, jars, seasonal ideas and decorations. Great selection & good prices.

I can't say I buy a lot of craft supplies, but my wife does, since she's the artsy one. What I love about the place is it has regular different art projects for $2.00 per kid. I have two twin daughters who go crazy once I say we're going to go make art today. They have had nothing but fun each time as the projects are designed/altred for younger and older kids.

What can I say? I visit here at least once a week. Love Michael's! Staff is pretty friendly, there's always new stuff to find and it appears they got a new buyer because they're starting to get more unique home goods.

I go crazy here. I could spend a fortune as my creative juices start flowing. I start out just going in for art supplies for painting and usually end up with supplies for projects I never even thought of. Its a dangerous place for creative's. But oh so much fun!

Locating a Michaels can be challenging, but this is a good location with plenty of parking. The staff are very personable and helpful. The prices can be pretty high, so it is advisable that you come with your coupons in hand and to be a frequent buyer member.

The people that work there are simply the best! Friendly and they know their stuff! From woodworking to arts and crafts and cool pens so, what else do you need?

Perfect place to get some crafts item at a good price. Think of becoming a member of their shop so you can have extra coupon. I always forget to bring the leaflet when I go there. But if you register, then your phone number is enough!
